Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell leapt into action when a young performer suffered a nasty fall during an audition.
The 64-year-old music mogul may be known as the strictest judge on the ITV talent show, but he clearly cares a lot about his acts. Simon reportedly rushed from his seat onto the stage when a member of a dance troupe crashed into the wings of the stage.
The dancer’s alleged accident occurred when a move went wrong during the performance at Salford’s Lowry Theatre in Salford. Medics rushed onto the scene and filming was halted for an hour.

It was Simon and fellow judge Bruno Tonioli who went backstage to check the dancer was okay, while Amanda Holden an Alesha Dixon kept the studio audience entertained.
A source, presumably in the audience at the time, told The Sun: “It was a real shock when it happened as the lad, who was in his early twenties, was obviously in agony. Unfortunately the rest of the troupe were so focused, and there were so many of them, that they had completed the routine before they quite realised how badly injured he was.
“It’s believed he had somehow aggravated an existing injury, but initially it wasn’t clear quite what had happened. After the safety curtain came down Simon and fellow judge Bruno Tonioli went backstage to check on the lad. Meanwhile Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon helped entertain the audience while they anxiously waited to find out what had happened”.
A spokesman for Britain’s Got Talent said: “The health and safety of our contestants is of the utmost importance. A member of a dance group sustained an injury whilst auditioning and was seen by medics on set as a precaution.”
