Festival season will soon be upon us – prepare to dust off the cobwebs, dig out your dancing shoes and get ready to boogie the summer nights away.

Where: Liverpool City Centre

What: “The dynamic music festival and pivotal event for music enthusiasts worldwide”

This year’s lineup includes some of the best up and coming new artists as the event is specially curated to help “vital fresh new artists paving their own destinies”. Bag a ticket to watch Caity Baser, The Snuts, Viji and Corella perform live.

Where: Brockwell Park, London

What: “A much anticipated festival poised to light up the capital city”

Come down to the capital to “celebrate 30 years of Rinse FM’s innovation and creativity” with some of the most colourful characters in chart-topping history. The organisers promise “a range of emotive, deep and euphoric house sounds” along with familiar Top 40 faces.

Among the lineup are Pusha T, Chip, DJ Seinfeld, Katy B and Eliza Rose.

WE ARE Fstvl

When: 25 – 27 May

Where: Damyns Hall Aerodrome, Upminster

What: “A huge emphasis on production to create an incredible festival experience.”

This star-studded festival is every EDM lover’s dream event and a chance to go big – many reality TV stars, influencers and celebs have been spotted here over the years, so make sure to dress your best and snap a picture with your fave as you dance the day away.

Chase and Status, Eric Prydz, Gorgon City and Green Velvet are among the big name artists booked for this year’s event.

Boomtown

Where: Matterly Estate, Winchester

What: “A music festival, but not as you know it”

Everyone knows Boomtown – a story and a festival combined into one unique event spanning a magical weekend you’ll never forget. Lineup is yet to be announced but this is one you’re gonna want to keep an eye on…

Creamfields South and North

Tiesto is on this year’s lineup in the North

When: South 26 May – 28 May, North: 22- 25 August

Where: Chelmsford, Essex and Daresbury, Cheshire

What: A vibrant line-up from both Creamfields’ younger sister in the south and the legendary northern festival itself.

Down South, festival goers have been partying along since the first instalment back in 2022, which was launched as part of the North festival’s 25th anniversary. Two Daily Star reporters went along last year and trust us – it was truly epic from start to finish.

Up North, festival fans have been partying for almost 30 years and the event shows no signs of slowing down, booking huge names over the years from Tiesto, Chase and Status, Swedish House Mafia and many more.

The lineup is yet to be announced so buckle up and get your wallets at the ready.

Forbidden Forest

Where: Belvoir Castle, Nottinghamshire

What: A hippy hideout for colourful characters.

Following a sell-out 2023 run, Forbidden Forest is back with a whopping increased capacity of 22,000 people. Featuring a wide range of genres from House, Techno and DnB, there’s something for every colourful character.

Among big name artists on the line up include Andy C, Bou, Holy Goof, Sub Focus and Shy FX to name a few. Partygoers are encouraged to dress up in their craziest attire and dance the night away at this kooky weekend hangout you won’t want to miss.

Parklife

Fans will flock from all over the country to see Doja Cat perform

When: 8 – 9 June

Where: Heaton Park, Manchester

What: “The largest metropolitan music festival in the UK.”

Heralded as one of the best festivals in the country, Parklife is full of likeminded festivalgoers ready to serve a look and boogie on down.

Chart-topper Doja Cat with perform alongside Kaytranada, Four Tet, Peggy Gou, Sugababes, Camelphat and Nia Archives, who will all be bringing the vibes up North for this year’s eclectic amalgamation of legendary artists.

Where: Donington Park Circuit, Leicestershire

What: “A mammoth five-day rock event, based at the spiritual home of rock.”

Calling all metalheads and rock music enthusiasts, Download festival is back and better than ever. Some of the biggest names in alternative music are ready to rock your socks off – quite literally – and among the headliners are Queens of the Stone Age, Fall Out Boy, Royal Blood, Enter Shikari and Limp Bizkit.

Glastonbury

The iconic festival hosts A-listers and festival goers alike

Where: Worthy Farm, Pilton

What: An eclectic amalgamation of sights and sounds to satisfy the senses.

Prepare to travel back to Worthy Farm for the most quintessentially British festival to ever exist. Brush shoulders with the stars as anyone who’s anyone will be attending to watch the huge headliners – the lineup is yet to be announced but rumours include Coldplay, Dua Lipa and Stevie Wonder

Anyone unfortunate enough not to get their hands on a coveted Glastonbury ticket can watch the weekend’s music on TV between 28 – 30 June.

Hampton Court Festival

What: Two weeks of top artists guaranteed to suit young and old.

Big Smoke Festival

Skepta has curated the event’s extensive lineup

When: 6 July

Where: Crystal Palace Park

What: A curated lineup with the only chance to see Skepta this year

Two massive open-air stages will feature big name artists curated by none other than British grime artist Skepta. The festival will also show the star’s only UK show in 2024, so if you’re a big fan then make sure you snag some tickets soon as.

Huge names in attendance include The Streets, Mahalia and JME among many others – guaranteed to be a great day out in the heart of London.

Latitude

What: Glastonbury’s younger sister.

Full of whimsy and wonder, Latitude is perfect for hardcore festival goers, chilled out music lovers and families with children alike as the venue comes alive in the night time, with a more relaxed atmosphere during the day.

Kasabian, London Grammar, Duran Duran, Khruangbin, The Vaccines, Rick Astley and Future Islands are on the line up so far – you won’t want to miss out on this hidden utopia of music, art and good vibes situated in the heart of Suffolk.

Truck

Where: Steventon, Oxfordshire

What: “The UK’s most warped village fête.”

Always a good time, Truck festival will exceed your expectations and then some. With a wide range of activities, rides, food stalls and an extensive comedy lineup, there’s something here for everyone – even bring the kids along for a unique family day out.

Idles, Declan McKenna, Wet Leg, The Kooks, Katy B, Sea Girls and Sundara Karma are all ready to get you moving feet this summer.

Hospitality in the Woods

Where: Beckenham Place Park, London

What: “Hospitality in The Woods is a one-day Drum & Bass summer spectacular.”

The lineup has yet to be announced but this is a Daily Star reporter fan fave and last year, our socks were blown completely off. The incredible stages, winding layout and hidden forest stages make for a truly unforgettable day.

Any DnB head will be pleased, so make sure to keep this one on your radar in 2024.

Reading and Leeds

Where: Reading and Leeds

What: A simultaneous music event that erupts the UK.

Partygoers up and down the country are preparing to enjoy their favourite artists all on the same weekend, which has earned the event a truly legendary status in the festival world. If you’ve never been, what are you waiting for? Grab some tickets now!

On the lineup this year we have Liam Gallagher, Blink-182, Raye, Skrillex, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Digga D along with many more chart-topping names.

Sundown

Where: Norwich, Norfolk

What: “UK bass and pop music festival, bringing some of the best artists in the scene to its home at the Norfolk Showground.”

The organisers have assured fans to “expect a whole host of pop, grime, UK drill and dance acts across five stages,” with a lineup that includes Hybrid Minds, Dimension, Sub Focus, Raye and many more.

Stages have been curated by Defected, UKF and local venue Gonzo’s Two Room to name a few.
