Harry Styles’ alleged stalker is reported to have sent “8,000 cards” to the singer’s home over the course of just one month, a court has heard.
With his singing skills landing him a slew of awards, the Adore You singer has amassed a huge fan following all over the world. Thanks to his music, he has been able to play all over the world, including in America, Australia, and Europe alike.
However, for one of the fans who was enamoured with the Don’t Worry Darling star, seeing him perform was seemingly not enough. Myra Carvalho, 35, is alleged to have travelled from her homeland of Brazil to London to try and get in touch with her idol Harry.

Carvalho had allegedly left Brazil without telling her family where she was going, the court in the London borough of Harrow heard. As she had been staying in a hostel in Earls Court in central London, it was here when she is alleged to have sent the barrage of mail to the 30-year-old singer’s home.
As well as the slew of letters that she allegedly sent to the singer, Myra had also expressed “sexual urges” towards Harry and had wanted to be together with him. But at the plea hearing at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (February 20), her barrister tried to dismiss this obsessive behaviour as a “manic episode”.
Myra’s parents flew from Brazil in order to be with their daughter, who appeared at the hearing via video link live from HMP Bronzefield. Clementine Simon, representing Myra, explained that her “manic episode” was continuing and as a result, she was in no fit state to enter a plea herself.
During the hearing, it was decided that another hearing will be held in April as to whether the trial for stalking would go ahead or if the charges would be dismissed due to insufficient evidence to prosecute. Working on behalf of the prosecution, barrister Alejandra Llorente Tascon outlined all the behaviour that Carvalho displayed during her obsession with Styles.
This included leaving her long-time partner in Brazil in order to send the 8,000 cards, with some hand-delivered to Harry’s personal address. Some of the other remaining cards were sent through an online company, and included wedding cards where she described her “sexual urges” with him.
At the end of the hearing, presiding Judge Ezzat also set the provisional date for a trial, should extra evidence be found. Should the trial go ahead, Myra will be put on trial on July 17 this year, though whether she appears in court herself is not yet known.
