Gwen Stefani left her fans in awe on Wednesday after sharing a clip of herself holding a bunch of iris flowers to Instagram.
The 54-year-old American singer recently released a new single, Purple Irises, with her husband Blake Shelton. The couple met in 2015 and have since collaborated on numerous occasions, largely for country star Blake’s own music.
Gwen, who found fame with her band No Doubt in the 1990s, barely looks any older than she did in the video for their monster hit, Don’t Speak. The band revealed earlier in 2024 they’d be performing together for the first time in nine years in April as they take to the Coachella stage.

In the meantime, busy Gwen is believed to be working on new solo material – her first since 2017 – after declaring she was “finally hitting that zone”. In a subtle promotion of her work with hubby Blake, meanwhile, Gwen captioned her new social media video: “Put me in a vase but u can’t stop time 🙂 gx.”

Gwen combined the post with a throwback snap of herself from her teenage years in which she could be seen sat on a sofa featuring an iris print design. The star’s 17million followers were quick to point out her ageless beauty in comparing the before and after, with one commenting: “You have always been beautiful from the inside out @gwenstefani and you just continue to get even more beautiful as you age! Keep on shining and being your unique, special, and beautiful self Gwen! You are an amazing gift to the world!”
Another added: “You look beautiful at any age. You are youthful and timeless.” A third agreed: “Beautiful then and now. And, you’re destined to find your true love and picking purple irises with your true love and best friend.” And a fourth gushed: “You just get MORE BEAUTIFUL as you age! You must be God’s favourite person.”

Earlier this week Gwen opened up on her struggles to perform No Doubt’s back catalogue, explaining that doing so makes her feel physically sick. “I can’t listen to a lot of songs because they speak so clearly to me. You have regrets, you have mistakes, and a lot of songs are about that,” she began.
“When I do Ex-Girlfriend, when I say it I almost throw up in my mouth because I just know exactly where I was at the moment to write that song. It brings you right back.”

Sick bag aside, Gwen’s hoping reuniting with her No Doubt bandmates will be like “riding a bike” Speaking to People, Gwen said that the plans “happened so fast,” which is her “favourite kind of thing to happen”.
She also confessed her bandmates “haven’t really figured out the next steps of how they’re going to do this” as they navigate their future plans, but according to the songstress they are all “so excited”.
