A Place in the Sun’s Danni Menzies has opened up about why she decided to leave the Channel 4 show.
The blonde bombshell, 35, first rose to fame as one of the main presenters on the beloved property show. But after six years of travelling and meeting great people, Danni announced she was leaving the show much to fans’ disappointment.
Now, in a new interview with the Express, the TV presenter has revealed why she felt it was time to leave the daytime show. She explained to the publication: “I decided to move on for a few different reasons to be honest.

“I found that travelling as much as I did, I found it hard to establish relationships. Also, six years in the same job, travelling loads, it was such an amazing experience, went to lots of great places, met lots of great people.”
“I was very much in my comfort zone and now I’m very much out of my comfort zone and it makes you feel a little bit more alive to be honest,” she added. But fans won’t be saying goodbye to the broadcaster for some time yet.
Even though Danni left the show in 2022, fans can still catch some of her episodes on Channel 4 after filming plenty of episodes before her departure.
She revealed: “I actually stopped filming A Place in the Sun two years ago. I filmed so many episodes before I left that they had loads of them in the can, so I think I still have a few that haven’t been aired.”
The news comes after the broadcaster shared a rare health update following a horrific moped crash back in 2022. Earlier this week, Danni visited an Audio Vestibular doctor after she was left unconscious when she was hit by a moped on the street.
At the time, the star was rushed to hospital after she was hit by the stolen vehicle which was travelling at 30mph. Danni was knocked out after two females – who were attempting to steal the unattended automobile – lost control of the engine.
Following the smash, Danni was left with a huge gash on her lip and eyebrow, which may have left her with permanent scars. She was also left suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder as post traumatic vertigo.
Briefly opening up on Instagram last year, the TV star said: “The scar is there and I look different, not much I can do about that now. We move!” Now she has shared a significant health update, revealing she is still suffering more than two years after the crash.
Sharing a series of snaps online, including a selfie taken after a recent doctor’s visit, she wrote: ” A bit of life lately. Seeing the Audio Vestibular doctor about why I often feel like the room’s spinning when I lie down since my accident.”
While she is still suffering, Danni proved that the accident isn’t holding her back as she could be seen working out at the gym.
