Fans of Emmerdale were left fuming once again as the hit ITV show was from its usual 7:30pm slot.
On Friday (February 23), many viewers who tuned in to watch the last visit to the Dales for the week were disappointed as the drama moved back to its original time of 7pm. Instead Live Women’s International Football was shown as England vs Austria got underway.
But for many who were unaware of the change were left livid and headed over to social media to complain. Taking to X formerly known as Twitter, fans aired their greviances.

One social media user said: “Oh FFS stop changing the bloody start time, missed most of it now.” Another penned: “Forgot 7pm start.. hearing the theme tune I’m like…[running gif].”
A third fumed: “Who wants to start a petition demanding @ITV stop moving our programs #Emmerdale #Corrie for sport events nobody cares about?” A fourth added: “Jeez missed #Emmerdale again wish they’d should changing the time!!”
While another fan was annoyed that they couldn’t find locate Emmerdale on streaming platform ITX X. They wrote: “Please @ITV @ITVX put soaps in own category not muddled with mass amount of dramas.. tonight trying to find @emmerdale as forgot was on 7pm. Go through drama soaps bit endless looking then get a to z , had to type name to get it. Make it easier locate main soaps!!”
During Friday night’s show Charity was questioned by police after she stabbed her husband Mack the night before. Charity has been struggling with her mental health ever since she accidentally killed Harry.
Although some of her family have begged her to seek professional help, Charity has tried to continue business as usual but things finally got a hold of her on Thursday night’s show. Although Mack is currently suffering with life threatening injuries, fans at home were left wondering why Charity was questiond by police considering her mental condition.
Taking to X once again, those that watched the scenes, shared their thoughts. One person wrote: “Charity would have been given a Psych evaluation on arrival at the PS, she would not have been deemed fit to be questioned. They should have led with this for a more appropriate MH story.”
Another person asked: “Why’s Charity not been seen by the duty doctor? #Emmerdale obvious mental health issues but hey!”
