Amanda Holden has signed a deal to be a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
The star, 53, will make a sensational appearance on the new series of the BBC show later this year. Producers are said to be “thrilled” because it’s one of the biggest signings in the history of the show.
An insider said: “Amanda is perfect for the show because she’s glamorous and has a brilliant sense of humour. And of course she’s got plenty of experience because she’s been a judge on Britain’s Got Talent for years.”

Amanda has already filmed her stint on the panel. The star was in the studio alongside show boss RuPaul, 63, and regular judge Michelle Visage, 55.
The insider added: “Amanda had a good giggle on set. It was a dream for her.” It is Amanda’s latest big-money contract to appear on a BBC show.
In recent years she’s starred on I Can See Your Voice as well as Amanda and Alan’s Italian Job. An industry source said: “Amanda has been one of ITV’s biggest stars for years as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent. So bosses at the network will be nervous about her doing so much stuff with the BBC.”

Amanda recently revealed she refuses to swear around her Britain’s Got Talent boss Simon Cowell. Over the past few months, Amanda, Simon Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli have been making their trek across the country to find the next big star for the 17th series, set to return this spring.
Speaking to her co-host Jamie Theakston and Ant and Dec, Amanda said: “He’s super polite, if I ever swear around Simon I’m really aware of it, whereas I don’t care about anyone else!”. But Ant pointed out: “You’re always swearing around us!”
It seems she has a pet peeve with the music mogul – and it’s that she has to wait for ages for him to turn up for BGT auditions. “We’re all waiting for two hours while we wait for him to turn up,” she said.
