Sunday Brunch’s Simon Rimmer makes dig at co-star Tim Lovejoy as he hits back ‘I hate it’

Sunday Brunch presenter Simon Rimmer made a playful jibe at his co-star Tim Lovejoy.

The TV duo returned on Sunday (February 25) to present the latest instalment of the Channel 4 programme. With Tim a hardcore Chelsea fan and Simon a lifelong Liverpool fan, it’s no surprise they mentioned the League Cup final taking place later today between the two teams.

Tim, 55, explained that a tradition on the show is for them to face “national ridicule” if their team loses. Two photos then appeared on the screen.

The first showed Tim pointing at Simon, who looked unimpressed wearing a Chelsea kit. The second mirrored the first image, however this time the tables had turned and it was Tim wearing a Liverpool kit.

Simon, 60, quipped: “And that shows how long it’s been since Chelsea have won a final because Tim’s even got hair.” The studio filled with laughter as the former Soccer AM presenter admitted: “I miss my hair.

“I’m so bald now. It’s horrible.” Simon insisted Tim rocks the shaved look but his co-star remained firm: “I don’t like it.”

The dad-of-three confessed he misses “the trimmings” that come with having hair, including trips to the barbers and hairdressers. Simon tried to find the positive side, saying: “Think of all the money you’re saving.”

But Tim wasn’t convinced and turned to celebrity guest Paul Carrick Brunson to ask if he enjoyed being bald. The Married at First Sight star admitted he enjoys being bald but has always wanted dreadlocks.

Lemar spoke about his recent appearance on The Masked Singer

Other guests on the show included Craig David and Wes Nelson, who discussed their recent performance in the Love Island All Stars villa. The presenters also spoke to singer Lemar, who finished in third place on the most recent series of The Masked Singer.

The 45-year-old admitted he was surprised with the secrecy surrounding the show, explaining he was covered up from the moment he left his house. Despite only telling his partner about his stint as Cricket, Lemar said his daughters figured it out within minutes of his first performance.
