The bosses of BBC’s The Traitors are reportedly keen to get a Friends legend on their show.
Courteney Cox, 59, who played Monica in the famous telly series, would certainly be a huge hit with viewers. Courteney is also good friends with Claudia Winkleman, who runs the show, and it’s believed Claudia would love to see her playing the game.
The big cheeses at the show reckon if Courteney says yes, then loads of other celeb buddies will too. The Strictly Come Dancing host knows loads of stars, like her sister Sophie Winkleman, who’s an actress and married to a royal.

A telly expert told The Sun (via The Mirror): “Getting Courteney on board would be a real coup.” They’re reportedly crossing their fingers that Claudia and Courteney being pals will mean she’ll say yes to coming on the show. Last month, it was reported the BBC wants to make a version of The Traitors with all famous people.
The same telly insider shared: “The fact the producers have a star from Friends in their sights shows the kind of calibre of famous faces Celebrity Traitors is aiming for. After the show was announced, producers were swamped with calls from big names and their agents wanting to throw their hat in the ring – many of them a big surprise.
“Courteney has always been a fan of the show, particularly as the British version has her mate Claudia fronting it.” The Friends star was also seen last month having lunch in London’s fancy Mayfair area with her hubby Johnny McDaid from Snow Patrol.
They hung out with Claudia and her husband Kris Thykier, who makes films, at Locanda Locatelli. Last year, they made a funny video to get folks to join the second series of the UK show.
Claudia took to the front while Courteney hid under one of those big cloaks from the show. In the funny video, Claudia said: “So I have some news – The Traitors series two is coming. Would you like to get involved? I might see you in the castle.”
Then Courteney popped out by pulling off her hood and asked: “Claudia, can I please do it?” But Claudia told her: “I’ve said this to you before, it’s no. You cannot apply if you’re a celebrity or one as famous as this one. Now, off you go.”
Earlier this year, the Mirror reported on when Claudia was asked who she’d love to see on the show, she answered: “Victoria Coren Mitchell, so I can cuddle her. I know her, that sounds weird. Adam Woodyatt, always. Andrew Garfield and I’ll have Stephen Fry as well.”
Other famous faces who love the show include Radio 2’s Zoe Ball, Sherlock and Bond star Andrew Scott, and The Crown’s Claire Foy. Matty Healy from The 1975 also showed his support for the show at a recent gig, inviting winner Harry Clark and Traitor Paul Gorton to be his special guests at London’s O2 Arena.
