EastEnders Eve star ‘ignored directions’ during racy lesbian romp with Suki

EastEnders star Heather Peace admitted she ignored directions during a racy on-screen romp.

The actress, 48, made her first appearance as Eve Unwin in 2021 and began a secret romance with Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) the following year. After months of tension, they finally shared their first kiss before taking their relationship to the next level.

In 2022 Heather spoke exclusively to Daily Star at the Inside Soap Awards about their lovemaking scene. The star recalled: “The leading to the bed, we ignored the stage directions completely.

“It had to be Suki that takes Eve to the bedroom. It just has to be because as a gay woman, if I was sleeping with a woman or something was happening, I would never be the person that would overstep that mark. You have to be given permission.”

Heather knew their on-screen romance was more than a fling, admitting it was a love story from the moment the two characters met. The soap star continued: “From the beginning we’ve said it’s a love story. It’s a meeting of souls.

She gushed: “It’s a magnetic attraction. They just can’t [stay apart]. But it’s not salacious and it’s not jumping into bed. It’s beyond that.”

It took more than one year for Suki to publicly confess her love for Eve and leave her abusive husband Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry). After the events of Christmas Day, Suki moved in with Eve and the Slaters.

But during Friday’s episode (March 1) of the BBC soap, an argument erupted between Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki. Suki slammed Stacey for coming clean to Jack (Scott Maslen) about Denise (Diane Parish) being the one who attacked Nish.

The Panesar’s turned their back on Nish

Meanwhile Stacey threw the blame on Suki, claiming they wouldn’t have needed to protect her from Nish if she came clean about her sexuality sooner. Stacey kicked Suki out and it wasn’t long before she returned to her family home to make a truce with Nish.

It didn’t last long, however, and Nish ended up pinning Suki against the wall by her neck. The rest of the Panesar’s looked on in horror as they arrived home to witness Nish’s brutality. He later returned home drunk, but the Panesar’s kicked him out on the street.
