Dancing On Ice axed star ‘knew’ they’d go – despite achieving perfect score

Dancing On Ice star Amber Davies claimed she “knew” her time was up on the show.

The 27-year-old had a sneaky feeling after she’d spotted an obvious sign after being saved by the judges last week, that she would be axed before the final. Despite skating her socks off and being the judges favourite in the flying challenge, it still wasn’t enough.

On Sunday’s (March 2) show, Amber became the first star of the series to get a perfect all ten’s score, this after she took to the air on wires over the ice. Head judge, Christopher Dean had tears in his eyes following her performance.

Although, she’d put up a good fight on the ice and been popular among the four judges, Oti Mabuse, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Chris, she hadn’t managed to impress the public. Not like her four remaining celebrity peers Ryan Thomas, Mile Nazaire, Adele Roberts and Greg Rutherford.

The boys seemed to win over viewers, leaving both Adele and Amber, the only girls, vulnerable and up for the chop. The two ladies were asked to perform one more time in the skate off.

As they were called over to the judging podium, the former Love Island star told hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern that she’d had a feeling her time might be up.

Speaking before her final skate, she said: “We knew it,” to which Stephen gasped: “You knew? What do you mean?”

The TV star turned WestEnd bombshell stood at the side of her pro-partner Simon Senecal and responded: “We just knew. We had a feeling it would be us. We’ve been on borrowed time so we just knew.”

Amber took to the ice with Simon and the pair skated like their hearts depended on it. The pro-skater and the former reality star didn’t put a foot wrong as they glided around the ice skating rink in synchronicity.

But Sadly for Amber, neither did her fellow contender Adele Roberts who put on an emotional display on Sunday, telling the judges she’d “rose up to cancer” in a heartfelt statement. This after she’d beat cancer last year.

With two strong performances, it was a difficult choice for the panel members but in the end they were all unanimous with their voting. Every single judge voted for Adele to reach the final.
