Sarah Jayne Dunn has opened up on life on a racy adult site, admitting she finds the subscription service more “respectful” than ordinary social media platforms.
The 42-year-old mum-of-one signed up for the web site in 2021, but was almost immediately faced with a career dilemma with Channel 4 bosses unhappy at her decision. At the time Sarah Jayne had played Hollyoaks’ beauty Mandy Richardson for almost 25 years, but was soon told she’d have to step down if she wanted to pursue her raunchy modelling work.
Opting to remain on the site – something she later referred to as “the best decision of my life” – her popularity has rocketed with her husband Jonathan Smith fully supportive of her raunchy endeavours. Likewise, she has also received the backing of her parents after “explaining what it was ” to them she was doing.

The actress revealed that they said were “happy” as long as she was, a stance she takes in parenthood herself. “That’s how parents should be and that’s how I am with my son,” she told National World.
What has surprised Sarah Jayne Dunn most is OnlyFans’ good-natured subscribers. Having been trolled on Instagram on numerous occasions in the past – most recently over her age – the star said the fact users are “paying for a subscription” has an impact on their usage of the platform.
“It’s actually really respectful, I get worse messages on Instagram,” she explained. “People are paying for a subscription so they will ask if it’s ok if I send you a picture and always say I don’t open pictures.”
Last month Sarah Jayne publicly shamed an Instagram follower named Richard who had trolled one of her OnlyFans preview posts. It read: “Why would you wanna see a middle aged 42-year-old getting her kit off?”
“Oh Richard,” Sarah Jayne sighed in response. “Thank you for being a prime example of basically what I was saying in a lot of my interview. So yes – I am a middle-aged woman and yes, I do embrace my femininity and my sexuality and my body. “I feel confident, and do you know what? I’m going to do it even more because of people like you that tell women like me that after a certain age we can’t do that – we can’t be sexual, we can’t be sexy.”

She then pointed out her five-figure number of paid subscribers to prove her point further, meanwhile. And speaking on her Hot and Bothered podcast recently, she added: “Your age, your body shape none of that matters like you can go out there and be confident and own it and wear what you want to wear.”
