Vanessa Feltz has taken a swipe at Channel 4 show Naked Attraction and says she’ll be reaching for the “remote and a sick bucket” if she ever stumbles across it.
The 62-year-old TV veteran is best known to fans for dishing out her political and dating advice on popular programmes such as This Morning. But Vanessa, who began her career in the 80s, has admitted to feeling nauseous by the premise of Naked Attraction and won’t be watching the new series that returned to screens on Wednesday night (March 6).
Hosted by Anna Richardson, Naked Attraction sees hopefuls looking for love while in the nude. But Vanessa seems to think romance will certainly be dead for those who participate.

She wrote in her column for The Sun: “It’s lacking in finesse, in romance and in subtlety. It’s even lacking in excitement and adventure, because it cuts straight to the chase – and when you look at the chase, you think, ‘Eurgh, I wouldn’t want to chase that in a million years.”
She also added: “I’m no prude, but if I’m unlucky enough to stumble across Naked Attraction, I’ll be reaching for the remote . . . and the sick bucket.” Despite Vanessa’s take, the controversial Channel 4 programme still draws in a crowd as some viewers still tune in for the shock value.
But mother of two Vanessa believes the show “reduces people to their genitalia”. She also said that “nothing is left to the imagination and that’s a shame”.
Naked Attraction first launched in 2016 and is now on its eight series. The new season has now also moved to the 10:35pm time slot on Channel 4.
The news comes after TV bosses at the broadcaster were forced to deny the show had been axed. Channel 4, who is reportedly going through money woes, has axed several shows as they grapple with a drop in advertising revenue.
Discussing the rumours that Naked Attraction was also thrown on the scrap heap, a spokesperson confirmed that it was not true. They said at the time: “Naked Attraction has not been decommissioned and a new series will return to Channel 4 next year.”
Today it was announced that Channel 4 had hired a Chief Financial Officer amidst its 250-staff layoff scheme. The network has appointed Lucy Thomas in the CFO role.
