Piers Morgan reveals eye-watering fee he’d sign up to Celebrity Big Brother for

Piers Morgan has finally lifted the lid on the eye-watering fee he’d enter the Celebrity Big Brother house for.

Last week, some of the biggest names in showbizness entered the famous house for the first time in six years. Presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best returned to the helm as they welcomed 13 new celebrities onto the show for another jam-packed series.

It’s fair to say ITV bosses have kicked off the series with a bang, with the likes of former X Factor judges Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne ready to cause drama. Also joining them in the house is former TV presenter Fern Britton, Strictly professional Nikita Kuzmin and Love Island winner Ekin-Su amongst many others.

Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – one user cheekily quipped: “With Louis and Sharon in the Big Brother house, I think it’s time to add another former talent show judge. Yes, I’m looking at you @piersmorgan.”

It was at this point that the 58-year-old revealed what figure he agree to if he was to take part in the rebooted reality show. He replied: “Great idea – you can agent my deal, son.

“Start negotiations at £10m… per minute.” Fans couldn’t help but chuckle at his outrageous offer as they encouraged him to change his mine. One fan wrote: “Think you’d be brilliant in there, the arguments you would cause would be hilarious [cry-laughing emoji].”

Another agreed: “Oh Piers! You would be fantastic in the Big Brother house! [star-eyes emoji, laughing emoji] Do it!” A third echoed: “Worth every penny [giggling emoji]”.

It comes after Louis Walsh revealed the real reason why he signed up to be part of Celebrity Big Brother. The 71-year-old explained in the house how he hopes to have a blast on the show after two of his close pals’ funerals reminded him just how precious life is.

He explained: “I don’t want to be in my final chapter, I want to live. I want to enjoy myself. I don’t want to die. But then it makes sense that you get to this age and think, ‘Why no? Life’s too short’.”

The music boss continued to The Mirror: “I’ve lost some people in my life recently and that changes you. I went to two funerals. Yeah, it’s a reality check, for sure.

“It makes you think about what life is all about. It makes you rethink what’s important and what you care about. Losing friends makes you think about your own mortality.”
