Neighbours star Dichen Lachman bared all in racy scenes for Netflix’s Altered Carbon.
The 2018 sci-fi drama, which has previously been described as “the raunchiest show on Netflix” by fans, sees a world where people exist on hard-drives implanted into their necks and the rich can buy an endless stream of “sleeves” to essentially live forever.
House of Cards star Joel Kinnamen plays Takeshi Kovac, a terrorist recently woken up from an unlimited prison sentence after 250 years by a billionaire who needs him to solve a murder. Judging by the sheer number of naked and sex scenes on the show, it’s going to be a very racy future.

While the mystery keeps viewers intrigued, the sheer level of nudity and sex scenes left fans hot under the collar. Joel is first seen on screen totally naked and spends much of the time either naked or romping his way through the show. Actress and model Dichen, who played Katya Kinski in Neighbours, bares all on screen as well as actor James Purefoy and actress Martha Higareda.
However, while the show sent fans into meltdown, the adverts for the programme left the public feeling very confused at the time and at some points disturbed. The creepy promotion looked like a human body trapped inside plastic bag and on closer inspection appears to even be breathing.
Fans were certainly intrigued by the bulging poster spotted at bus stops at the time. One passer-by previously told CBS LA: “It’s kind of incredible though as far as advertising a TV show goes because it’s a sculpture really, it’s not just a poster.” Another member of the public added: “I think the whole point is for it to be creepy. I don’t think it’s too much, no.” The show is based on the 2002 novel of the same name by Richard K. Morgan.
It centres on Joel Kinnaman’s character, who after 250 years on ice returns to life in a new body – a disgraced policeman. Human personalities can be stored digitally and downloaded into new bodies, called sleeves, which is why he is known as Takeshi Kovac’s sleeve. He gets the chance to win his freedom by helping a highly influential aristocrat, played by James Purefoy, solve his murder.
