Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel left fans divided over his jokes about Robert Downey Jr.
The talk show host started the show with a bang and some cringeworthy moments as he “roasted” the Hollywood actor. During his speech, he poked fun at the actor’s past drug use and the shape of his manhood.
Jimmy said: “Robert, is that an acceptance speech in your pocket, or do you have a rectangular penis?” This strange quip left fans divided with some in stitches over the remark and others left questioning it.

Robery seemed to take it on the chin and flashed a smirk to the camera after taking a few hits in his speech. Fans commented online about the speech with many torn.

One wrote: “Cool my son just heard “rectangular penis” and started laughing hysterically #Oscars” A second added: “Robert’s face listening to jimmy joking about his penis being rectangular #Oscars”
Earlier in the speech, Jimmy also referred to his past drug abuse and said “This is the highest moment for Robert Downey Jr… one of the highest moments” in reference to it. Some fans branded it a “cheap shot”.

One typed: “Sorry, but that was some cheap shots at Robert Downey, Jr. that I did not find funny at all. ITV host Jonathon Ross also brought up the jokes on the channel’s Oscars coverage with TV guest Doc Brown branding the manhood comment as “weird”. Jonathon also branded it as a “bum note”.
Other viewers took online to demand the awards “find a new host” as they didn’t appreciate Jimmy’s jokes. One put: ” think it’s time to find a new host. That Robert Downey Jr. part was not cool. #Oscars”
