CBB’s Louis Walsh takes swipe at ‘vile’ Jedward – but reveals huge amount he made from them

Celebrity Big Brother star Louis Walsh did not hold back as he aired his thoughts on Jedward.

The ITV show returned for another episode on Tuesday night (March 12) for its second live eviction of the series. Fronted by AJ Odudu and Will Best, the pair gave fans a rundown of what’s been happening in the house for the past 24 hours – before announcing the celebrity that was evicted.

Throughout the series so far, Louis hasn’t been shy to share what he thinks about certain famous faces. And during the latest instalment, things took an award turn when Louis was quizzed on one of his former X Factor acts Jedward.

In the episode, Coronation Street star Colson Smith asked him: “What were Jedward like?” Not afraid to speak his mind, he quipped: “They were vile.

“I got five mission quid for them though, I swear on my mothers life.” Explaining more, he added: “They vile Vile. But they were novelty and it was great for the show. It’s all about the show.”

Later on, Louis dished out another insult at Ronan Keating. The Irish star used to manage Ronan in Boyzone and then when he went solo – before parting ways. Speaking to Sharon, Louis said: “He was such a p***k. Everyone thinks he’s a lovely guy.” He then added: “He hasn’t had a hit record since I left. He sacked me.”

Back in 2016, Jeward hit out at Louis after he branded them as “the most embarrassing thing to happen to him.” The lads soon fired back and claimed: “I think we are the most financially beneficial act of his career in the last 10 years.” John echoed his statement, and said: “I don’t think he took us under his wing.

“I think we were already flying and he was like, ‘Oh I think I want a part of that. I think he got old. It’s like someone saying behind your back and you are like, ‘wait, I didn’t know there was a problem.'”

Up for eviction this week was Louis Walsh, Fern Britton and Lauren Simon. ZeZe was originally up, but Sharon Osbourne was given the chance to replace one nominated housemate with another housemate – and she chose Fern to take ZeZe’s place.
