Kim Kardashian has wowed her fans by sharing how she got ready for the Oscars red carpet in a stunning white dress.
The TV star looked fab in a strapless white gown from Balenciaga, adding cool sunglasses for a sneak peek before she went to the Vanity Fair party at the 96th Academy Awards. Kim posted pictures of her amazing outfit on Instagram and said: “OSCARS 2024 Vanity Fair Party in Balenciaga Couture”. In one photo, she posed like a model, showing off her white dress and her long dark hair.
Fans loved Kim’s look for the red carpet. One fan said: “This is probably one of your absolute best looks, keep this energy! ” Another wrote: “Kimmy this is your look” and someone else said: “You are soooo beautiful”, reports the Mirror US.

But not all of Kim’s fans liked her choice to wear Balenciaga. Lots of people remembered when the brand got into big trouble in 2022. They came under fire after creating a campaign featuring children holding teddy bears in bondage harnesses and costumes. The brand was hit with calls for it to be boycotted as the hashtag #cancelBalenciaga trended across then-Twitter, Instagram and TikTok.
Some of Kim’s followers reminded her about the furore in the comments on her Instagram. One person said: “Isn’t this the company she swore to never wear or deal with and everytime you look up she is wearing this brand, but I don’t know why people are in shock she lost her soul a decade ago”.
Another wrote: “So much for her stance on pedophilia…shameful”. And someone else agreed, saying: “Seriously? You have kids… guess money is more important? “. Kim wasn’t happy with Balenciaga when the controversy emerged and said on Instagram: “I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns.”
She said she was thinking hard about whether she would work with them again and wanted them to say sorry and make sure nothing like it ever happened again.
The Oscars Vanity Fair party sparked more rumours about Kim’s supposed romance with NFL player Odell Beckham Jr. They were spotted entering Jay-Z and Beyonce’s Oscars afterparty in Los Angeles, where they were seen getting cosy. She was even caught on camera placing her hands on his face while he held her by the waist.
