Searching for naked Sydney Sweeny snaps will destroy your device, experts warn

Tech experts say scammers are using the allure of naked Sydney Sweeny pictures to invade horny blokes’ phones and computers with harmful malware.

The Euphoria and Anyone But You actress is currently one of the biggest stars on the planet. Her recent appearance hosting Saturday Night Live boosted her fame even more.

Her notoriety has reportedly sparked an explosion in scams on X (formerly Twitter) as more and more horny blokes are searching for sexy snaps of her. “Sydney Sweeney leak” became a trending topic on Twitter hours after her SNL episode, according to 404 Media.

Searching her name on X produces a sea of posts from dodgy-looking accounts containing links purporting to show these “leaks”. However, scammers are actually using the promise of nudity to trick people into downloading malware.

The links reportedly send people to well-known malware sites like thaudray.com and waufooke.com. Other links drive traffic to advertising services, artificially inflating impression numbers and generating revenue for hackers and website hosts.

Security experts at malwaretips warn: “Your browser may be redirected to waufooke.com due to malware infection on your device, push notifications from malicious sites, or by being redirected from another website you visited. Less reputable sites may display malicious ads that redirect your browser to Waufooke.com in order to generate advertising revenue.

“If this happens, you should close the page and consider installing an ad blocker, like AdGuard, to block these types of ads.

“If you continue to see pop-ups from waufooke.com, it is possible that your computer is infected with a malicious program, and you should scan your device for adware and remove it.”
