Former Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne Dunn has confessed she has just one regret in her racy photo career, despite trolls labelling her “embarrassing”.
The 42-year-old was caught in a media frenzy in 2021 when she was sacked from the Channel 4 soap after TV bosses weren’t too happy with her racy snaps. Sarah, who played the role of Mandy Richardson since 1996, was left gutted with TV execs, as she claimed they stopped her from having creative freedom and the ability to monetise her content.
But since the controversial incident took place, which led to her being trolled online, Sarah has expressed that she only has one regret. Talking to The Sun’s Fabulous she said: “Trolls told me that I’ll regret it but I’m over two years down the line with OnlyFans now and I have zero regrets. Actually, that’s wrong, I do have one regret: I wish I’d started it sooner!”

She added: “People assume that OnlyFans is just porn, but it’s not, my content isn’t explicit.” In her candid interview, Sarah also expressed that she became annoyed with Hollyoaks producers due to the fact that they used to book them in for lads’ mags in the 2000s.
The former soap star said she felt she was being “used as currency” and that she had “no control” over the racy snaps. This was because “it was just taken out of our hands”.
At the time of Sarah’s controversial exit, fans shared their support online. One social media wrote: “I’m really glad you have no regrets for this. I’ve learnt so much from you. Women sexuality is something that we should not be ashamed of.
“And I don’t know why some people seems as though sexuality is bad it’s not bad and we should all embrace it as women. I really like your confidence Sarah!”
Another said: “Looking good, and good to see you have no regrets. End of the day it’s your decision what you do with your life.”
Following Sarah’s success on subscription based site, OnlyFans, soap bosses have changed actors’ contracts to ban them from launching their own lucrative accounts. Hollyoaks television bosses argued the raunchy content on OnlyFans, which requires users to be 18-years-old or over, didn’t align with the soap’s young audience.
