Liz Hurley felt “liberated” and “looked after” while stripping off for a saucy sex scene – directed by her own son.
The Austin Powers star, 58, agreed to star in her son Damian’s directorial debut when he was just eight years old, and now, aged 21, he’s made that a reality with new flick Strictly Confidential. Elizabeth plays Lily in the new erotic thriller, who is seduced by Natasha (Pear Chiravara) and the women soon start to make love against a pillar.
Now Liz has admitted to Access Hollywood: “The things that his script needed me to do weren’t necessarily things I’d always done in movies many times. But having him there meant that I felt safe and looked-after, and I knew in [post production] he’d look after me.”

She went on: “So actually it’s kind of liberating to work with your family. I may do it again.” Damian confessed that he knows it’s “controversial” to be shooting scenes featuring his own mum in a steamy romp, but added: “Showbusiness has been a fundamental part of my entire life. So to us, it’s not a thing. She takes my photos, I take hers.”
In the racy scene, Liz is seen donning a slashed metallic dress with no bra underneath while Pear runs her hands over her bare thighs and hips, pressing kisses into her neck while Liz’s character throws her head back in ecstasy.
There has been mixed reaction from fans online, with one X user branding the move “very disturbing”, as someone else joked: “Guys pretending this isn’t hot as hell.” Another penned: “It’s Hollywood! Just like Ethan Hawke directing his daughter in a sex scene.”
Hawke insisted directing his eldest daughter Maya in raunchy scenes “isn’t weird”, admitting to Variety: “We needed to take care of [actors] Rafael and Cooper. I think it was weird for them. We were so comfortable with it, I couldn’t care less.”
One Daily Star commenter mused: “Mummy and son seem to have a very very close relationship!” And anther quipped: “That’s just creepy!”
Liz’s new film follows protagonist Mia, who is haunted by the suicide of her best friend Rebecca. Accepting an invite to stay with Rebecca’s family in the Caribbean on the anniversary of her death, Mia is drawn into a mystery filled with “sex, duplicity and betrayal”.

Damian said of the film: “During the making of my first-ever short film back in 2010 when I was eight, my mother promised me she’d be in my first feature. True to her word, the minute Strictly Confidential was green-lit, my mother dropped everything and raced out to the Caribbean to help.”
He continued to People magazine that the pair share “twin-like telepathy” which helps when working together, branding his mum “beautiful and supreme”. He admitted making the film together was a “dream”.
