Coronation Street star looks unrecognisable as they share forgotten BGT stint

Coronation Street favourite Tony Maudsley looked worlds away from the Cobbles in his unearthed stint on Britain’s Got Talent.

The star who is best known for playing the fun-loving George Shuttleworth on the ITV soap left fans with mouths open with a jaw-dropping picture from the past. In the snap, Tony shares the stage with his former Benidorm co-stars as they attempt to impress head judge Simon Cowell.

Tony looked nothing like his alter-ago George in the snap from 12 years ago, taken during Britain’s Got Talent’s Sport Relief sketch in 2012. The soap star boasted an incredible bronze tan and bleach-blonde hair.

As a second in with: “12 years ago!!!! I remember it like it was last weekend. My how time flies.” As a third commented: “This was brilliant never gets old,” along with a love heart emoji.

Tony shared the image of himself alongside Jake Canuso (Mateo), Adam Gillen (Liam), Tony Maudsley (Kenneth), Steve Pemberton (Mick Garvey) and Oliver Stokes (Michael Garvey) wearing matching blue and white baseball jackets.
