Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith apparently wants to land a job on a big BBC show.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s uncle has reportedly got his eye on a new venture following his recent stint on Celebrity Big Brother. Despite being first person booted from the house, the multimillionaire businessman is said to be hopeful for more airtime.
It has since been rumoured that the entrepreneur could be about to join Dragons’ Den as a Dragon. With a robust career in IT recruitment, numerous businesses under his belt, and hosting his podcast, Pints of View, he’s got plenty of business wisdom on his CV.

If true, we could see him sat next to the likes of Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Sara Davies, Touker Suleyman, and Steven Bartlett. Speaking to The Sun, a source revealed: “Gary has a number of successful businesses and he wants to use his new platform to help others.”
They added: “He has mooted the idea of becoming one of the Dragons and thinks it could be a great move for him. Gary is a smart businessman and he’s interested in helping new entrepreneurs.”
“His time on Celebrity Big Brother showed a different side to him. He’s just a regular guy who’s done well for himself and wants to give something back. Gary has his Pints of View podcast where he talks about business, but he thinks Dragon’s Den could be a bigger stage for him,” commented the source.
Dragon’s Den sometimes invites guest Dragons on the show, so there’s a chance Gary might pop up as a guest rather than as a permanent member. Recent guests have included ex-footballer Gary Neville and Emma Grede, the boss of denim company Good American, reports the Mirror.
The Royal Family reportedly weren’t too pleased about Gary going into the Big Brother house and it’s not known if they’d be happy about further TV appearances. During his CBB exit chat, Gary remained that he wanted to shake off his “bad uncle” image.
He told AJ: “It does hurt when you’re always called a ‘bad uncle’. I wanted to change that. What a chance to have a sneaky look behind the world of celebrity.
“I’ve tried to be myself, maybe mentioned the royals a bit too much. It was interesting to see their world. In my world, I’m the centre of attention, but this is a different level.”
