Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid has floored viewers as she dropped a huge swear live on-air.
Reid, 53, returned to present the ITV morning show on Tuesday (March 19), together with former politician Ed Balls. The pair had been running through the biggest news stories of the day before attention turned to more speculative action.
A report published in The Sun newspaper revealed that actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been formally offered the opportunity to play the suave spy in the upcoming film. However, there has been public backlash at his selection due to his long, luscious locks.

Taylor-Johnson has become the favourite to replace Daniel Craig, who has been playing the role of Bond ever since his first film as the British espionage expert – which was Casino Royale in the early 2000s. Other names that were thrown into the mix include Idris Elba and Timothée Chalamet.
Aaron has a slew of blockbuster movies under his belt thanks to his illustrious career in film. Some of the previous films he has worked on include Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and Bullet Train, for which he was critically acclaimed.
However, one film that set many people’s pulses racing included 2010 action-comedy Kick Ass, which follows a young man after he discovers he has superpowers, and the ability to hone his skills on the go. But as Reid and Balls pored over the actor’s back catalogue, when the comedy cropped up.
Speaking about the news, anchor Ranvir Singh admitted: “I don’t think I’ve seen any of his films!” But responding to Singh, Reid said: “I’ve seen Kick-Em!” triggering a wave of confusion from Singh herself, who hit back: “That’s not the name of the film!”
However, a coy Susanna quickly offered the reason as to why she missed out on the actual name of the film, adding: “I know, I’m just worried about Ofcom.” She then turned the attention back to Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and the discussion on his hair and whether he should be allowed to keep his locks for the role.
Later on in the show, the topic of Aaron becoming Bond cropped up once again in conversation for viewers who tuned into the show later. However, an emboldened Susanna was more than happy to let rip on the actual name of the film this time round.
“Right, there’s a controversy this morning about the new Bond reported in the papers. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, brilliant in Kick-Ass,” she said slyly before giving a coy smile to the camera and promptly carrying on with the rest of the debate.
The latest Bond film was put on hold last year due to ongoing strikes in Hollywood by actors and writers, demanding fair pay and the reduction of artificial intelligence in the movie industry. However, with the show now back on the road, production company Eon Productions – who is responsible for the multi-million pound blockbuster series – is preparing for the next instalment, which may feature the hunky actor.
Good Morning Britain airs every weekday at 6am on ITV1 and ITVX.
