EastEnders’ Dean Wicks could be set to get what’s coming to him – as fans predict the return of an iconic character.
The character, played by Matt Di Angelo, rocked back to Walford last year, much to the horror of Linda Carter. Fans will recall how sicko Dean raped Linda and also attempted to rape Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) but has always denied it.
Since his return, Dean has caused plenty of drama in the famous square. He has continued to terrorise Linda (Kellie Bright), so much so, that she has broken her sobriety.

Dean’s daughter Jade Masood (Elizabeth Green) has also turned up and moved in with her dad. It was revealed Jade was suffering with cystic fibrosis and she recently underwent a lung transplant.

However, after Jade told her dad she was moving to Pakistan with mum Shabnam, Dean went to drastic measures to stop her. In a shocking twist, Dean tampered with Jade’s medication so she would be unfit to fly to Pakistan.
Since then, he has continued to mess around with his daughter’s medication and this week, Jade fell seriously sick with a chest infection. Meanwhile Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) has been keeping an eye on Jade.

Jean and Jade’s grandmother Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) were best pals before Shirley left in 2022. Jean has even stepped in to help Jade work on her charity fundraiser for cystic fibrosis.
But now, fans reckon that Dean’s mum Shirley could return and teach him a lesson – perhaps an ugly one. As fans will recall Shirley, who first appeared on the soap back in 2006, left the soap when son Mick (Danny after) went missing at sea.

Since then, she’s not been seen since. Actress Linda announced her break from the show at the time. However she assured fans it would just be temporary – leading fans to sit around and wait for her return.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Linda and Phil team up and bring Shirley back to take Dean down.” Someone else added: “Jean mentioning Shirley (her best friend)… Let’s hope this is the beginning of the Shirley return… she’s gotta come and sort Dean out.”
Meanwhile on an EastEnders Facebook fan page, one viewer said: “Poor jade, hate Dean. Hope Jean keeps sticking her nose in and gets to the bottom of it.. would love Shirley to come back and deal with her son and save her granddaughter.”
