Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice ‘splits from model girlfriend weeks after going official’

Giovanni Pernice has reportedly split from his model girlfriend.

The 34-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star went Instagram official with model Molly Brown, 24, three weeks ago but they’ve since unfollowed each other on the social media platform.

Blonde Molly has also deleted a loved-up snap of her and the Italian dancer from her Instagram grid, sparking split rumours. She originally shared wrote the Italian phrase “Amore Mio”, which translates as ‘my love’ alongside the picture. They cuddled up for the sweet photo, with fellow diners seen in the background of the bustling eatery.

A source told the Mirror in February: “Giovanni and Molly met a few weeks ago, and though it is very early days, things seem to be going well between them’. He has been keeping things quiet because he didn’t want too much pressure on as they’re getting to know each other.” Daily Star has reached out to Giovanni’s representative for a comment.

Giovanni has had a colourful love life over the years and has dated a bevy of beauties. He famously had romances with Strictly star Georgia May Foote, Towie’s Jess Wright and Love Island’s Maura Higgins.

It’s been almost a year since Giovanni was linked to his Strictly co-star Jowita Przystal, who teamed up with Countryfile’s Hamza Yassin to lift the Glitterball Trophy in 2022 – a year after Giovanni had emerged victorious with EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis.

The separation comes amid the dancer’s simmering feud with former celebrity dance partner Amanda Abbington. The actress quit the show and lodged a complaint with the BBC after rehearsals with the self-confessed ‘workaholic’ left her with PTSD. According to reports, Amannda recently met with two of Giovanni’s former Strictly partners, Laura Whitmore and Ranvir Singh, for a tearful meeting about his conduct.

Giovanni has continued to defend himself against the ongoing accusations, first breaking his silence on the ongoing feud over the weekend, and during an appearance on Tuesday’s (March 19) Lorraine. His Lorraine appearance saw the dancer asked if he would change his teaching technique for the 2024 series.

Host Lorraine Kelly probed: “We know Strictly didn’t quite work for you this year? Are you going to change as I know you are a perfectionist.” “Its not just about the winning, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t,” Giovanni insisted. “I think it is a shame, as I have said in the past I think Amanda could have gone all the way to the final, great talent.”

“You know the idea is to get them be the best they can be, as I have said before with Amanda and we were getting good feedback from the judges.” Sherlock actress Amanda, quit Strictly back in October due to “personal reasons” amid claims of a feud between her and Giovanni. Reports then emerged she reportedly demanded footage of their rehearsals after she claimed her experience in the competition left her with PTSD.
