Celebrity Big Brother star Lauren Simon has announced she won’t be returning to Late & Live due to having a “horrible” experience.
The 51-year-old became the second person to leave the house last week. But Lauren wasn’t pleased with how she was treated on Late & Live following her eviction.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star described her interview with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best as “so horrible” and felt the questions were “forceful” on the spin-off ITV show. It comes after the show received complaints about the alleged treatment of Love Island’s Ekin-Su Culculoglu on Late & Live following her eviction.

Ekin-Su, won Love Island in 2022 but was removed from the house last Friday (March 15) alongside Levi Roots after receiving the least amount of votes from viewers. She sparked a social media uproar by claiming she was poorly portrayed on the show, which didn’t accurately reflect her behaviour.
Since then, Lauren has shared her own distressing experience on Late & Live, describing it as “so torturous”. She told Metro: “I also had an interesting experience at Late & Live, and I felt that when you’ve just come out of the house and you’re so nervous, sitting there is the most horrific thing.”
“We sat there for two hours and it’s so torturous, and you’ve got all these different emotions because half of you wants to go home and the other half thinks you’re letting yourself down because you’ve been voted out. And to come out, and have the questions thrown at you like that, I had it and it was so horrible, it’s not right, it’s wrong.”
She added that with Ekin-Su they weren’t particularly “gentle” with someone who had just come out of a “stressful” situation, as she stated that “compassion goes a long way”. After Ekin-Su’s appearance on Late & Live she later threw ITV’s Lorraine into chaos on Monday morning when she reportedly cancelled an appearance on the show at the last minute.
Ekin-Su rubbed some viewers up the wrong way when she appeared in the house after she seemed annoyed by theatre star Marisha Wallace’s face-to-face nomination, and was criticised by fans for her “hysterical” crying. Ofcom has since received 139 complaints, according to Express.co.uk, with a spokesperson telling the publication the complaints related to the treatment of Ekin-Su by the presenters as well as the “guest panel”.
