Celebrity Big Brother star confirms huge new job days after leaving house

Bradley Riches has announced he will be switching things up in his career as he takes on a whole new challenge.

The Heartstopper star, 22, was speaking to Kate Garraway and Adil Ray on Good Morning Britain on Friday (March 22) with just hours to go until the final of Celebrity Big Brother. Riches, who had been in the house until Wednesday (March 20), was the final housemate to be evicted from the House ahead of the final.

Bradley was the final housemate to be called to the so-called “rendez-vous” point in the house, where his fellow co-stars were being reunited with their loved ones for just a few moments. However, when it was Bradley’s turn – instead of his normal loved ones, host AJ Odudu entered to tell him that he was the next housemate to be given the boot from the show.

In his first TV interview post-eviction, Bradley admitted to Kate and Adil that he was one of the housemates to be locked away in secrecy for the longest time in Big Brother history. After being evicted, Bradley revealed that he was kept in the dark about the outside world until his exit interview on Big Brother: Late & Live on Thursday (March 21).

Speaking on the ITV morning show he explained: “The whole of Wednesday, I was with a chaperone in lockdown. No phone, no nothing – only an iPad with Netflix on it!”

Riches’ schedule was already packed following Celebrity Big Brother, according to the star. Speaking with entertainment reporter Richard Arnold by his side, he explained that he would adding a new string to his bow: “So I’m starting rehearsals in May for a new musical called Babies and then that opens on the 31st of May.

“It’s basically about a group of teens and students who look after baby simulators, and it’s a comedy and it’s light-hearted, but they have their own struggles of course,” he added. “But I’ve always wanted to do a musical and I’m doing it now!”

Riches was also asked about his time in the Celebrity Big Brother house, and it was clear to see that he had a great time. Opening up on his good friendship with fellow star David Potts, he beamed: “I think what I love about David is that we have so many similarities like journeys and personalities, but also so many differences – so I think that’s why be bonded and gelled straight away, cause we could learn from each other and love each other for who we were.”

Bradley also paid tribute to his house bestie David on the show

He added that he was “nervous” to meet the Ibiza Weekender star, but “just fell in love with him” as time went on. Bradley also pegged him to be the winner of the show, which will be declared on Friday night, saying: “I would love it if he could win.”

The final of Celebrity Big Brother airs on Friday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
