Josh Must Win fans are convinced he knows the real aim of the show.
The E4 programme kicked off on Monday (March 25) and saw nine reality-star hopefuls enter a popularity contest – but not all was as it seems. In actual fact, celebrity panel Nick Grimshaw, Vicky Pattison, Amber Gill and Pete Wicks are controlling the game to ensure a contestant named Josh wins.
Josh, 23, is the underdog who has been put in the house to win with the hopes of turning the reality show genre on its head – but even he isn’t aware of the end goal.

The four stars are tasked with introducing jaw-dropping format twists and mastering the art of manipulation so that the cast can split £100,000 after Josh’s triumph.
But while Josh remains blissfully unaware of what is at stake, some fans have speculated that he may already know. During Tuesday’s instalment (March 26) of the reality show, the camera panned to the barcode on a carton of milk.
The original barcode was covered with a new one and the accompanying words “JOSH MUST WIN”. Viewers have questioned why this has been placed on an item in the house as it would make the real aim of the show “obvious”.
Sharing their thoughts online, one wrote: “I don’t get it — why have they got “Josh Must Win” on the milk and got photos of them around the gaffe nervous they’re going to get caught, yet making it obvious?”
“‘Josh must win’ was written on the milk carton barcode?” penned a second. Another said: “They have ‘Josh must win’ written on the milk barcode?”
A fourth claimed: “Josh is an actor and you can’t convince me otherwise.” Someone else asked: “Does it say josh must win on the milk?” Another theorised: “It’s quite obvious Josh will win & they’re all in on it but it’s made to look like they’re clueless.”
