Fans of Love Island are convinced one former star is being lined up to appear in the next series of The Traitors.
It’s said the third installment of Claudia Winkleman’s hugely popular reality game show is set to air in late 2024 or early 2025, having already been commissioned by the BBC. Now, followers of Scott van-der-Sluis firmly believe he will line-up as either a Traitor or a Faithful on the programme when it returns.
Scott, 23, was a bombshell addition to the Love Island villa in 2023 after quitting his role as a professional footballer in Ireland. After arriving on day 11 of the competition, he lasted 41 days before being dumped alongside Abi Moores.

Scott, who also featured on Love Island USA and Love Island Games last year, appears to have dropped a hint about his next move.

After sharing snaps to Instagram of his trip to California, fans began to speculate he was there to meet bosses of US streaming service Peacock. Peacock makes the US version of Traitors and Love Island Games.
“Probably trying out for Traitors 3, they started making contact with reality TV stars in Jan to start shooting in Aug/Sept,” one eagle-eyed follower suggested. Another, who supposedly has inside knowledge, wrote: “Scott and Mitch [Taylor] had some meetings with Peacock.” And a third added in hope: “To be honest I’d love to see more Love Island cast members on Traitors.”

Taking part in a recent live Q&A session with his 282,000 followers, one asked: “Do you have any history with any of them [All Stars’ contestants] in there?” Scott responded: “No, none of them in there. “This is Ex On The Beach, that’s why I’m not in there.”
Confirming The Traitors series three in November 2023, Kalpna Patel-Knight, head of entertainment at the BBC, said: “The massive unscripted hit The Traitors will be back for a third series. Expect to see more psychological gameplay, exciting challenges and, of course, Claudia at the helm.”

She continued: “It will be a thrilling ride for both avid fans and newcomers to the series, for sure. The BBC will always remain faithful to The Traitors.” It comes after Scott revealed he had been snubbed by Love Island: All Stars earlier this year.
