A Place In The Sun presenter Danni Menzies admitted that she’s “seen a few flashers” working on the Channel 4 property show.
The blonde bombshell first joined the long-running programme back in 2016 which she hosted for six years. Her time on the glamorous show catapulted her to fame and she quickly became a fan favourite.
But in 2022, the presenter decided to say farewell to the show in search of new opportunities. Now, the broadcaster has taken a look back over her time on the programme in an exclusive interview with Daily Star.

Ahead of her appearance at the Ideal Home Show in Kensington Olympia from March 22 until April 6, the star reflected on some of the surprising struggles in her role. Danni confessed that on several occasions members of the public would streak in the background of her takes.
Recalling some of the most bizarre occasions, she told us: “I was doing a piece to camera in Lanzarote and had a nudist running in the background. I was filming and they said, ‘One minute guys, there’s something dodgy behind you’. We had it in Spain too, we were filming and this guy cycled past on his bike totally naked. There’s lots of it, I’ve seen a few flashers.”
Danni went on to reveal the real reason why she left the show after six years on the programme. She confessed that one of the main reasons she left was to find love and settle down.
The presenter explained: “I think the reality is I worked on the programme for six years and when you’re travelling that much and living out of a suitcase, you know two weeks in London and three weeks in another location, when life is like that it’s hard to date and do normal things and establish relationships.
“I found it very hard to do that while I was travelling and you know I was 34 at the time and I kind of wanted those things in my life so I did feel like I needed to change things up a little bit.” She went on to confess that a lot of her co-stars went on to marry cameramen who also worked on the show.
Danni went on: “A lot of the other presenters on the show, they all married cameramen. I just didn’t have enough fit cameramen.” The broadcaster confessed that she asked her Channel 4 bosses that if they helped her find a man, she might have stayed on the show. She joked: “I did say to them if they found me a good enough one, I might stay but they didn’t.”
Danni Menzies will be appearing at the Ideal Home Show, on hand to offer lots of top tips, live Q&A’s and demonstrations throughout the 17-day home show at Kensington Olympia. Danni’s fun interior design insights can all be learned about at this year’s Ideal Home Show.
