Week after week, This Morning’s Cat Deeley has us swooning over her television-ready wardrobe, and one of her latest outfits is a favourite for spring. The mum-of-two looked gorgeous in a khaki co-ord , which shoppers can pick up on the high street.
The 47-year-old often opts for clean lines and tailored cuts, favouring pieces that accentuate her slender frame while oozing understated elegance, and on Wednesday, March 27, she ticked all of the boxes in a cool khaki waistcoat and matching trousers from Mint Velvet.
The outfit looked really smart but also relaxed, which is perfect for the ‘quiet luxury’ trend that’s popular right now.
Waistcoats are really in fashion at the moment, and they’re more versatile than you might think. You can wear them with loose jeans and trainers for a casual look, or with matching trousers and smart shoes like Cat did.
The waistcoat Cat wore has a cool asymmetric design and a single button fastening. It also has a V-neckline that’s just the right size so you can wear something underneath if you want to – like a white t-shirt – but it’s not too low if you prefer not to. You can also copy Cat’s look in a full pastel pink shade that just shouts ‘spring’.
The trousers from her suit are a perfect blend of smart and casual, with tailored details like waist pleats, a front crease and a cuffed hem. But the cargo-style pocket details and loose fit stop them from looking too formal, so you can pair them with a fitted blouse or an oversized T-shirt, reports OK! .
You can choose from three different lengths in the cargo trousers , with petite, regular and long lengths available. They’re also available in sizes 6-18 in each length, so you can find the right fit for you.
You can buy her exact waistcoat in the shade for £99 here, however, if you’re shocked at the price tag, we did manage to find a similar style waistcoat from high street favourite H&M. The Asymmetric Front Suit Waistcoat, £15.99 here, comes in pinstripe, black and beige, and has a similar angular cross over front.
You can also get a more traditional style with the Dorothy Perkins Short Waistcoat, £29 here, which comes in a khaki shade almost identical to Cat’s. Or you can get her Mint Velvet one here for under £100.
