Cheryl Fergison has been supported by EastEnders fans after she was left in “complete agony”
The former EastEnders actress, who played Heather Trott in the BBC One soap, logged onto her Instagram page on Easter Sunday (March 31) to inform her 52,400 followers that she’s been in hospital.
Speaking to the camera in a video, the TV star, 58, said: “I just spent the last 24 hours in A&E at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and I’ve seen things in the last 24 hours I can’t unseen. I’ve been in complete agony and been made a million times better by the angels that are all of the NHS staff which I want to thank like, big time.

“When people say ‘They don’t get paid enough’ they really don’t get paid enough. We’ve got a broken system. It’s gone to pot. it’s shot but it’s still amazing and we still have it, by a thread. I want to say a huge thank you, I’m feeling a lot better.”
Although the former Celebrity Big Brother housemate did not divulge why she was in hospital, she received a slew of supportive messages from her fans amid the trying time. One fan penned: “Awww relieved you are feeling much better Another added: “Get well soon and thank goodness that the NHS is still battling on despite all that it’s going through.”
A third person wrote: “I really hope you’re alright. I was quite worried when I just watched this. You’re an amazing lady Cheryl and I hope it’s nothing serious. I really would like to meet you someday, as I also love George Michael, just like Heather did. You stay strong dear.” It comes after Cheryl was left pleading with her fans for answers after having her blue tick verification stripped from her on X – formerly Twitter.
The platform deleted the icon from accounts across the platform after users refused to pay the fee. However, Cheryl only recently noticed her was missing as she begged: “Can anyone explain why my verification tick has gone / been taken away ? Haven’t done anything wrong on this platform?”
