Alison Hammond admitted she bought her son a Nerf gun just to see if she could “take it up the a**”.
On Thursday (March 28), the This Morning presenter joined comedian Rob Becket on his new Sky TV panel show, Smart TV. The raven-haired beauty, 49, took on the role as team captain alongside fellow comedian Romesh Ranganathan and actor Anna Maxwell-Martin.
Throughout the show, the stars shared some of their most embarrassing moments in their life, and it’s fair to say Alison had plenty of jaw-dropping stories. During the show, Rob asked the stars if they had ever been shot before.

It was at this point that the mum-of-one confessed she has been shot with a Nerf gun after one late-night purchase took a weird turn. She admitted: “I’ve been shot with a Nerf gun.”
When they asked who gave her the surprising blow, she confessed: “Well, it was my son actually. I bought him this Nerf gun because I really wanted to see if I could take it in the a**.”
It was at this point that the audience burst into laughter as the TV presenter attempted to explain her cheeky comment. She insisted: “I just wanted to see if he could shoot it.”
It was at this point that she confessed her bizarre notion completely backfired as she warned fans not to try it at home. Alison explained: “I wanted to see if I could take a Nerf bullet in the a** and oof, it’s really painful, man. It’s so painful, don’t ever do it.”
Alison got up to her usual cheeky antics on Monday (April 1) when she fell victim to a hilarious April Fool’s Day prank. The star was reminded of the many hassles of live TV on Easter Monday when she and Dermot O’Leary welcomed supposed Antiques Roadshow contestant Joanna onto the show.
Their guest discovered the astronomical value of a vase she had bought at a car boot sale for just £1.50. Joanna was said to have discovered on the BBC One program that the ornament was actually worth £30,000, which she brought with her onto the show.
Amazed by her story, Alison ominously claimed: “I’m nervous, first of all, the fact that it’s here. I’m going to stay back here, I do not want to break this vase.” As the ex-florists explained that she purchased the vase for her daughter who had moved house, Dermot edged closer to the item.
In an unexpected turn the presenter gently knocked the vase off its stand with his elbow, leaving it shattered on the studio floor. Silence blanketed the set as Alison, Joanna and Dermot stood with their hands over their mouth in complete shock.
Alison was full of an apology as she attempted to comfort Joanna, while Dermot promised he “would pay for it” before his co-host said: “I don’t even know what to say, I’m actually going to get upset.”
Dermot attempted to de-escalate the tension before he revealed that it was all a joke. He told their guest: “I’m so sorry, I’ll pay for it. I’m so sorry everybody. I’ve only got one thing to say which is… April Fool’s!”
Alison stood in shock before she cracked a smile as the 50-year-old admitted that he had been thinking about his stunt over the Bank holiday weekend to find the best way to fool Alison. He chuckled: “You are sensational, by the way” as Alison revealed she had came close to tears.
She admitted: “I actually felt sick, I was going to start crying. I didn’t know what to even say. That’s now funny.” Fans will have to stay tuned to see what cheeky antics Alison will get up to this week.
This Morning airs on weekdays from 10am on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
