Speaking about filming Drama Queens, Amy, who plays Tracy Robinson in the ITV soap said: “It’s been really good, really fun. We’ve been surprised by how easy it feels to have a camera crew in your home. My only real concern was filming with a two-year-old, but Bonnie loves the camera, she’s in her element which is great.”

Amy tied the knot with former EastEnders actor Toby-Alexander Smith in a star-studded wedding last year with their little daughter in attendance and fans will get a glimpse into their first year as husband and wife on the show. She said: “It’s been really nice filming with my husband. He’s really enjoyed it. It doesn’t feel like you’re in a TV show, it just feels like you’re living life.

“It makes you stop and be very present and because you are totally dedicated to that one day, you’re having conversations over dinner that you wouldn’t necessarily choose to.. It has been quite cathartic and emotional. I’ve had quite a lot of crazy the last couple of years – I had a baby, got married, filmed MasterChef – then I went back to work with a really big storyline, so I was juggling a lot, but it’s settled down.”

“We follow the story of me going back to work after having Bonnie and moving away. I lived in London on maternity to be with family and filming bought to the surface things that I didn’t realise I was upset about. Just before we started filming, my mum had a mini stroke. She is fine now, but at the time I was so busy at work I couldn’t even go see her in hospital, I nearly didn’t hold it together but then I realised I had to for Bonnie.

“I was working all week doing 12 hour days so I couldn’t let every one down, in our job there’s only one person who can do your role. Since then, I’ve slowed down, it’s made me realise that time with her is so precious and I miss her so much. You get comfy being the one who goes out to work but then you’ve got this whole other role when that person isn’t there…it is really hard.

“It’s a juggle being married to a jobbing actor, he’ll go from being at home all the time and then he’ll go off to Bulgaria but when he got that job, I was like: ‘I am not sure we can both do this.’ We don’t have any help and that’s the hard thing, but I do feel blessed that I have a job and Toby has a job and blessed that we have a baby. I know how lucky I am, and how many actors would love to be in my position. It’s such a privileged problem but it makes you think: ‘Can you have it all?’ It feels physically impossible sometimes.

Drama Queens launches on Wednesday, April 10th at 9pm on ITVBe and ITVX
