Jen Atkin has been reduced to tears watching back the moment she told her Loaded in Paradise co-stars about her weight loss journey.
The 31-year-old beauty queen and footballer is currently starring in the glamorous ITV2 reality show as pairs battle for a ‘gold-card’ loaded with 50,000 Euros. However, when the card is used an alert is sent to other players allowing them to swipe it. The team holding the plastic at the end will take home the jackpot.
Teaming up with fellow country singer Emma Jade, the blonde bombshells have been trying their best to get their hands on the money by battling it against the other contestants. However, things turned emotional in recent scenes as viewers watched Jen open up to her fellow cast members about shedding an impressive eight stone.

The Miss Great Britain 2020 winner has spoken to Daily Star about watching back the moment where she told her co-stars about dropping from a size 22 to a size 12. Hitting 18 stone on the scales, Jen thought enough was enough after struggling to make it up the stairs without “choking”
She said: “It was such a journey and the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. I was lonely and just went to the gym to make friends. Don’t get me wrong I’m still a curvy queen and my weight fluctuates like crazy like most women but oh my god I was in floods of tears watching it back. Even though it’s my story I was still crying. I was so emotional and there was so much more to the story that didn’t get shown.
“It’s such an intense experience and when you start opening up and talking about yourself it hits home so hard. Eight years ago I started losing weight and when you start speaking about it to strangers it’s just so intense and that’s what made me cry so much. It’s not something I speak to people openly about.
“It’s so hard because I’m still a curvy girl. I’m a size 12 so when I say I’ve lost eight stone I feel as if people still judge me and not think it’s good enough, especially with my Miss Great Britain background. Some people are a bit shocked when I say I won Miss Great Britain because I don’t have that ‘beauty queen look’ in terms of my body shape so when I open up I kind of feel judgement from people.
“As amazing as it is and how proud of myself I am that I lost eight stone there’s still some people that judge and think ‘Why don’t you carry on?’ or ‘Why did you win Miss Great Britain when you’re a curvy girl?’ I’ve been trolled so much in the past and I’ve already seen people commenting saying how old me and Emma look on the show but comments like that make me laugh. We’ve also had loads of nice responses saying how nice we are.”
Loaded in Paradise continues on ITV2 tonight at 9pm
