Liz Hurley’s son takes her racy bikini snaps and says ‘it’s just part of business’

Damian Hurley has insisted there’s noting wrong about taking his mum Liz Hurley’s bikini snaps.

The 58-year-old model and actress owns her own fashion brand, Elizabeth Hurley Beach, and her 22-year-old son is responsible for getting the money shot.

While some may find it uncomfortable taking photographs of their mum posing modelling skimpy swimwear, Damian says it’s all part of being in showbusiness.

Speaking alongside his mother in an interview with Access Hollywood, Damian explained: “People find this really controversial. Showbusiness has been a fundamental part of my entire life. So, to us, it’s not a thing, it’s just part of business. She takes my photos, I take hers.”

On the combined family effort involved in her fashion brand, Liz added: “Who likes being photographed in bikinis? No one, even when you’re 22 and fabulous. But it’s relaxing knowing someone’s behind the camera who looks out for me, which was the same on this movie in a way.”

Damian, who is Liz’s son with American businessman Steve Bing, has made his directing debut in crime drama Strictly Confidential, which stars his famous mum. Speaking about working together on the project, the Austin Powers actress said: “The things that his script needed me to do weren’t necessarily things I’d always done in movies many times before.

“But having him there meant that I felt safe and looked-after, and I knew, in the production and in the post, he’d look after me. So actually, it’s kind of liberating to work with your family, I may do it again.” The drama, set in the Caribbean, is about a young woman trying to solve the mystery of her best friend’s apparent suicide.

Damian has recently addressed “nepo-baby” claims ahead of the movie’s release. In an interview with The Sunday Times, he explained it wasn’t all easy with growing up and being “chased by paparazzi on motorbikes on the way to school”.

He said: “Because anyone who looks at me has gone, ‘Oh, actually, hang on, you’ve been working exceptionally hard since you were 15 years old,. Damian’s hard work continued on the set of Strictly Confidential, the director and writer reflecting he was “so frantic” he “could hardly breathe for the entire shoot”.

He added: “Your body is sent totally through the wringer. I lost 20lb in 10 days down to stress. When you’re a perfectionist you don’t do things by halves, it’s impossible.”
