Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Ruby’s link to Dales villain as they spot worrying clue

Emmerdale fans have “worked out” Ruby’s link to another dark character.

Ruby (Beth Cordingly) has caused mayhem since she first arrived in the village in January. Her turbulent relationship with ex-husband Caleb (Will Ash) was made evident immediately.

Ruby recently shared more about her past, revealing that her family abandoned her when she was a teenager after they discovered she was pregnant with Caleb’s baby. The couple eventually got married but it transpired that Caleb would often cheat and abandon Ruby.

After Caleb’s affair with Tracy (Amy Walsh) was exposed to the village, the Dingles turned their back on him. Realising there was nothing left for him, Caleb suggested moving away with Ruby and Nicky for a fresh start.

Ruby confronted Chas about interfering with her family’s life

During Thursday’s instalment (April 4) of the ITV soap, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) admitted she didn’t want Caleb to leave. This made him have second thoughts, leaving Ruby furious after she’d already found the perfect house in Harrogate.

Ruby headed to The Woolpack and confronted Chas. “Stop interfering in my family’s life.” She added: “You are way out of your league if you think you can take me on.”

Caleb ended things with Ruby after she elbowed Chas in the chest

The situation escalated as Ruby branded the Dingles a “bunch of peasants” before breaking down in front of the entire pub. As Caleb attempted to remove her, she elbowed Chas in the chest, just weeks after her double mastectomy.

Caleb was about to check on Chas before Ruby questioned what he was doing. He then accused Ruby of elbowing Chas on purpose before branding their entire marriage “toxic”. Caleb said that he wanted her gone, declaring he wouldn’t be leaving with her.

Viewers have unearthed a dark link between Ruby and Tom

Following the dramatic scenes, viewers took to social media to speculate about a link between Ruby and Tom King (James Chase). One wrote: “I think Ruby is a controller like Tom but at this point obviously Tom is a lot worse.”

Another agreed: “I think it could go down that road with Ruby and Caleb like Tom and Belle.” A third claimed: “Ruby is emotionally manipulating Caleb. Why is no one talking about this?”
