Hollyoaks have brought in intimacy coordinators to help with racy scenes.
Charlie Clapham has recently returned to the village as bad boy Freddie Rascoe after seven years away and it’s not long before fans of the Channel 4 soap will see him wooing several sexy villagers.
Over the next few months, the character will been seen getting down and dirty with a number of women including Marie Fielding (Rita Simons), Lizzie Chen-Williams (Lily Best) and Kitty Draper (Iz Hesketh).

Speaking to Daily Star about his return and upcoming storylines, Charlie said: “Freddie is at his absolute worst and glorious best when he’s got a few secrets to keep. It’s just one high packed experience after another this time around. Before I think we got to see him tread the line being a brother, son and grow up but this time it’s just fireworks every episode.
“There’s not one episode where he isn’t fighting. It’s brilliant and every day I’m being told how expensive I am in terms of stunt coordinators, fight coordinators and intimacy coordinators which wasn’t around back in my day so that’s been an interesting experience. There’s a lot of intimacy, a lot of fighting, a lot of running around and a lot of anxiety. Freddie is fuelled on anxiety and the adrenaline. He’s an adrenaline junkie and I think he enjoys the chaos.”
In the dramatic Spring trailer, which dropped last week, Freddie is seen getting up, close and personal with numerous ladies. Lizzie is also seen talking about “my baby” leaving fans wondering if the newcomer ends up getting her pregnant. Opening up about “fantastic| co-stars, Charlie gushed: “All the ladies have been fantastic to work with and It’s odd coming back as one of the old school but coming back in to the newbies.
“Lily [Best] has been there a couple of years, Iz [Hesketh] started end of last year I believe and the experience and glamour Rita has brought to the show is needed and she’s fit right in. There is a fourth to come and I’m sure there’s going to be more. It’s a golden spanner.”
Hollyoaks airs weeknights on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed Channel 4 at 7.30pm
