Several Coronation Street beauties appeared almost unrecognisable as they shared snaps of their ginger ‘makeover’.
Actresses Samia Longchambon, Tina O’Brien and Lucy Fallon were given a new look coutersy of the ITV soap’s head of hair and makeup, Gillian Walsh. She took to her Instagram account to share a clip of a fourth star – Charlotte Jordan – testing out a hair colour-changing filter.
Loving her new look, Charlotte, who plays Daisy Midgley on the show, posted her transformation to her Instagram story, prompting her to ask her followers: “Um… should I be ginger? Have I been doing life… wrong?”

Tina and Lucy, who play recently reunited as mum and daughter duo Sarah Barlow and Bethany Platt, then made cameo appearances in the video which they also shared to their own stories.
Samia, meanwhile, who has played Maria Windass since 2000, soon joined in the fun as she applied the filter too as she penned on her account: “Felt left out of National Ginger Day @gillywalshy.”
Laughing, she continued: “Now I need to be ginger and get some freckles and big lips. These filters are cruel!” Elsewhere on the video, Channique Sterling-Brown (Dee-Dee Bailey), Paddy Bever (Max Turner), Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby) and Jodie Prenger (Glenda Shuttleworth) were all involved too as Gillian panned her camera around the Weatherfield make-up room.
Writing in response, a number of Gillian’s followers approved of the new looks, with one commenting: “More gingers on the show pls!” Another penned: “Oooh you should all dye your hair.” And a third simply said: “Stunners.”
The fun comes as a welcome relief for Tina, who was seen rushing out of her property in pink jogging bottoms as violence flared outside her property last month. She was also filmed appearing to put a girl in a headlock as well as being hit herself and having her hair pulled.
The 40-year old actress has reportedly been been “cleared” however, following the “unprovoked attack”. Cops have made no arrests and are said to be calling time on their investigation into the scrap in Bramhall, according to The Sun. A source told the publication: “Police have concluded Tina acted in self-defence and hasn’t done anything wrong. Her version has always been she was defending her home and her family, and that appears to have been accepted.
“Tina is also tiny and not an aggressive person — so is not the kind to be fighting in the street usually. These girls came to her road and to her house, and that’s the only reason she got involved. She thinks they were looking for trouble and — although it was not a good look — in a way she did the right thing.”
