BBC EastEnders enthusiasts reckon Linda Carter ‘will ditch Queen Vic’ sparking fears of her exit.
EastEnders buffs are all aflutter with worry that Linda Carter might pack her bags and say ta-ra to the Queen Vic – and possibly even to Walford itself. Linda’s been in a right pickle with her booze battle ever since Keanu Taylor copped it at Christmas.
She’s been trying to keep her head above water after all the Keanu kerfuffle, but things took a nosedive when the old bill unearthed a body under the cafe floor. While it seems Dean Wicks could be taking the fall for the Keanu saga, having been stitched up by The Six, viewers are now fretting that Linda could do one from Walford following the string of heartaches she’s endured lately.

She waved goodbye to her hubby Mick Carter – played by the legendary Danny Dyer – last Christmas 2022, and then found herself smack bang in the middle of a murder mystery at the Queen Vic on Christmas Day 2023. But it’s clear as day that she’s still spooked by the ghosts of those grim times.
After a natter with her mum Elaine tonight, punters are dead certain Linda might leg it from the Square for good. A fan piped up: “I think Linda needs to at least move out of the pub. The murder happened there and so did her rape. Even living with Alfie and not having to walk over the exact places these things happened would make a huge difference.”
“George is so lost bless him I can totally understand why he’s being how he is – he just needs to think of his girls. Phil has been a great friend though I like this side of Phil. Yes, it’s entertaining when he’s being a bad guy but he just shines being a guy with a dark past, a bit rough around the edges but ultimately someone who wants to help others.”
Another added: “Also I’m not sure how anyone expects her to work on her alcoholism when she’s living in a pub. It’s like now that Deans gone (for now or whatever) Elaine expects her not to be an alcoholic.”
“Like you said even moving into someone else’s who can help with the kids would be such an improvement. It’s like asking someone with a gambling addiction to just give it up whilst living in a bookies,” whilst a third chimed in: “Plus, after George stormed out of the pub, her reaction was like ‘anyone else want a drink?’
“With Linda standing right there. I’m not suggesting that the loved ones of an alcoholic should go completely sober because of it, the person does need to learn to cope in a world where their addiction is readily available, and they do live in a pub after all. But some sensitivity and tact wouldn’t go amiss so you try not to trigger the person.”
