Emmerdale fans couldn’t believe it when Kerry Wyatt was scammed by Eric Pollard and kicked out of her family home.
And some reckon that the crafty Eric will be caught out for swindling bride Amy’s mum in shocking scenes that aired on Wednesday night (April 17). Matty and Amy prepared to tie the knot, but as typical soap weddings go, trouble was ahead.
As Amy got ready, her mother Kerry revealed that she wasn’t able to pay for her big day which resulted in the wedding being called off temporarily. But miraculously, Eric seemed to step in to salvage the wedding.

Offering to pay the huge £10,000 budget, Amy and Matty got ready to walk down the aisle. However, the anger in their hearts towards Kerry still remained as they kicked her out of their family home and Matty told her she wasn’t allowed to witness his big day.

At the end of the show, feeling pity, Eric offered Kerry a night for free at the B&B. But fans also discovered that Eric had scammed Kerry.
The day before, Kerry asked Eric if he could help flog her jewellery to help pay for the wedding. Eric told Kerry that he was only able to get £60 for her items, but he received thousands of pounds.

Seeing Eric up to his old tricks, fans were shocked and some reckoned he’ll get found out. “Eric will be caught out, I knew he was robbing Kerryman,” one fan expressed.
Another viewer said: “Fs Eric, I’m really disappointed in you now.” A third chimed: “Eric, even though I hate Kerry, that’s not very nice scamming her! It’s hard to believe he’d do that these days.”

But others couldn’t hide their joy and was pleased that Eric scammed Kerry out of her fortune. One fan wrote: “Ooh Eric you little tinker. Kerry deserved that.”
Another penned: “First of all I thought how sweet Eric is being tonight then I realised the old Eric is back. But kind of like the fact he did over annoying Keri lol.”
While a third added: “VINTAGE Eric! Couldn’t happen to a nicer Kerry.”
