Kimberly Hart-Simpson is set to return to Coronation Street this week.
The actress will reprise her role as sex worker Nicky Wheatley as her former flame Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) reaches out to ask her if she knows anything about Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fittons) disappearance.
Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) reads an article online suggesting that Lauren was working as an escort which gives Daniel an idea to call Nicky. In the precinct, Daniel meets up with Nicky and her friend Deana. and Max Turner (Paddy Beaver) watches with excitement and after taking some pictures on his phone, explains to Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) that he recognises Nicky as a sex worker and Daniel is clearly hiding something.

As fans wait to find out if Nicky has any information on Lauren’s whereabouts, Daily Star has taken a look inside Kimberly’s love life away from the cobbles.
Co-star split
Kimberly signed up for Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion back in 2020 and ended up getting into a relationship with co-star Shane Finalyson after they were set up by the E4 show’s dating experts Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson. However, the long distance between them and the coronavirus restrictions meant they struggled to make the relationship work.
Confirming their split in May 2021, Kimberly wrote: “After 6 months of dating Shane and I have decided to part ways. We are proud of our journey and respect each other immensely. Our journey after that even better but with the distance between us, work commitments and restrictions can naturally take its toll. Thank you for the love you have given us, it has not been wasted. XX”
Pansexuality
During her time on Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion, Kimberly opened up about how she was pansexual and was attracted to people regardless of their biological sex or gender identity. “I have dated people who are male, female, transgender,” she told The Mirror at the time. “Gender is completely irrelevant to me.”
Despite opening up about her sexuality, the TV star revealed that she’d received some criticism on social media. In an interview with the Sunday People, she said: “People saying it’s a stunt are not my problem. That’s their problem.”
TV hunk
Kimberly’s Celebs Go Dating co-star Curtis Pritchard admitted the pair were “really close” and sparked romance rumours during their time on the show. The Love Island star set tongues wagging when he was spotted lying next to the bombshell in bed. He tells The Sun at the time: “I did get on really well with Kimberly. It was great that I got the chance to live with her. Kimberly is an absolute legend.
“She is just a good laugh. In every way. You can just talk to somebody. She is really really down to earth and easy, that’s Kimberly. You know when there’s somebody that you just click with and you can feel like you can tell your secrets to somebody? That’s what Kimberly is. You feel like you can talk to her on a deep level. I really did click with her and she is a smashing girl.”
