2000s reality star hasn’t aged a day as she joins Corrie to cause drama for beloved couple

A 2000s reality star will be making her Coronation Street debut as the love interest of Steve McDonald.

Over in Weatherfield recently, Steve (Simon Gregson) has been left heartbroken after wife Tracy (Kate Ford) left him. Fans will recall she embarked on an affair former footballer turned decorator Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) earlier this year.

In typical soap fashion, the pair were eventually caught out. Despite getting back with Steve thinking she could things work, Tracy soon found out that Tommy had left her a note asking her to move to Spain with him.

Steve had found the note before Tracy read it though and ended up burning it before coming clean to Tracy. And in a shock twist, Stacey decided to follow her love to Spain and move abroad with him.

Since then, Steve has thrown himself into the world of online dating. And in upcoming scenes, Steve takes the plunge and goes on a date with one of his matches.

At the Rovers Return, mystery woman Aurora arrives – with the character being played by Fame Academy star Pippa Fulton. Pippa is best known for her time on the talent series in 2002.

During her stint, she appeared alongside future famous faces like Lemar and David Sneddon. The star was booted out from the show in the fourth week.

Since then, she’s appeared in rival soap Emmerdale, playing several guest roles between 2014 and 2017. Pippa has also starred in the BAFTA-nominated Channel 4 show Hullraisers, created by Lucy Beaumont.

On Corrie, Pippa’s character Aurora arrives but it turns out she’s not after Steve. Instead she eyes up his pal Tim Metcalfe, and when wife Sally arrives, she’s not too happy to find her husband giggling with a drunken woman.

While Steve appears to be moving on after Tracy – her return back to the soap could be happening sooner than we think. In scenes that aired last month, Tracy had leaving drinks at The Rovers.

After hugging it out with her family and friends, she got into her beau’s van and left the cobbles to start a new life, seemingly for good. Appearing on This Morning on Tuesday (April 24), soap expert Sharon Marshall gave fans a peek at what’s coming up in soap land this week.

Talking about Steve’s new romance storyline, Sharon teased it could be short-lived, thanks to Tracy. She said: “I’m wondering… I mean Tracy, that was a bit of a low-key exit for such a major character mid-week, you know? Is she going to be coming back? That’s what I wonder, anyway!”
