Each week, the celebrity contestants and their team captains discuss the best TV on the box and answer a series of trivia questions. This week she was joined by comic Romesh Ranganathan and MasteChef’s Greg Wallace.

It was at this point that Rob cheekily revealed that Alison has quite the crush on the comedian because he would “treat her like s**t.” Rob began: “You like Romesh because you quite like men that are mean to you, don’t you?”

Alison admitted: “A little bit. I don’t like it when they’re too nice and want to do everything for me. I feel like he would put me in my place.” The dad-of-three cheekily replied: “Honestly, I would treat you like s**t” to which she replied: “Would you? Oh I’d be all over you.”

It was at this point that Rob suggested there could be a “curse” on the TV show, as Romesh joked: “Don’t go on Smart TV, you know what will happen? Alison will have you.”

Rob replied: “It’s not really a curse, Alison just sh***s anyone who comes on” as Romesh chimed in with: “That’s what you do, you go on the show, call Alison in the break and she’ll tug you off.”

Alison struggled not to laugh before she giggled: “I do not do that, it’s literally just b***jobs,” as the studio erupted into laughter. Later on in the show, the mum-of-one shared one mortifying meet cute which quickly took a turn for the worse.

She confessed: “I’ve had a horrible no once, it’s so embarrassing.” The star clarified that she had never got down on one knee before but she had been rejected by one shop employee while she was popping in for a bite to eat.

“I went into Boots right because I was really hungry. I was absolutely starving so I went and got this sandwich and some crisps. And I went up to pay for it and the most fittest guy was there.

“I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is it. This is the one I’m gonna marry’. I just knew it. I went, ‘I’ll have that crisps and that sandwich please’ and he was like, ‘Do you want to go for a drink?’ And I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m in! I’m in here.”

The star was convinced she had bagged herself a date for that evening, and immediately started thinking of where to go out together. Alison continued: “So I said, ‘Yeah, I’d love to go for a drink with you’. And he went, ‘No, it’s a meal deal, go and get yourself a drink’.”
