Emmerdale fans believe they’ve twigged a dark twist for newcomer Rose ahead of a heart-wrenching storyline.
Rose made her first appearance last week, where it was unveiled that she is the estranged ex-wife of Will Taylor and mother of Dawn Taylor. It became clear that Rose had abandoned them when Dawn was just a baby or toddler.
Despite Will’s reluctance to see her again, Rose reappeared on Monday night (April 29) at Home Farms, insisting that Kim Tate, Will’s wife, let her speak to Dawn. Eventually, Dawn and Rose met, but Dawn insisted that Kim be present during their reunion, which annoyed Rose.

Despite Rose’s attempts to reconcile with her estranged daughter, Dawn stood firm in her decision not to have a relationship with her. In an attempt to safeguard her family, Kim privately offered Rose two thousand pounds to go back to Spain and never return.
Even after increasing the offer to three grand, Rose remained unmoved until Kim sternly reminded her of other, potentially worse options. Rose reluctantly accepted and left Home Farm, seemingly for good, reports the Mirror.
However, on Tuesday night, it was revealed that Rose hadn’t gone far as she settled into The Woolpack, striking up a friendship with Kerry Wyatt along the way. Later, Billy, Dawn, Will and Kim had their jaws on the floor when Rose strolled into the pub to proudly announce that she was paid off by Kim to leave – a revelation which left Dawn close to tears.
Back at Home Farm, Will’s blood boiled over Kim’s decision to financially satisfy Rose without consulting him. However, the plot thickened when Dawn insisted on her mother moving back in with them so they can assist her while she recovers from her arm injury.
The episode ended on a cliffhanger as Rose and Kim found themselves at crossroads once again, where Rose threatened: “You don’t like losing, do you Kim? But you lost today and if you come at me again, you’ll lose again. Here’s to letting a fox into your lovely little hen house! “.
But the pair had bigger problems later in the week when Dawn and Billy’s son, Evan, was rushed to the hospital. On Thursday (May 2), Evan underwent a biopsy where the doctors revealed he could be suffering from an infection, autoimmune disease or even Leukaemia.
Will and Kim hurried off to the hospital after understanding how gravely ill Evan is. Meanwhile, Rose stayed behind still trying to project the image of a concerned family member but soon turned to alcohol for comfort.
Lydia Dingle, who was minding Clemmie and Lucas, Dawn’s other children, took a call from Dawn. Rose insinuated herself into the conversation leading to a cringe-worthy moment, shining a light on the stark reality that the new entrant was feeling isolated and unappreciated.
Evan will be diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemias. The bombshell will shatter his parents’ lives as they struggle to cope, but it looks like Rose could step up to support her daughter Dawn through the ordeal.
Fans believe Rose might aid little Evan during his health crisis, potentially securing her place in the village for good. Speculation is rife that Evan might need a transplant and that Rose could be the perfect donor match.
Yet, some fans reckon there’s a dark twist looming, with Rose demanding money for the live-saving move. One user on X posted: “Rose is just waiting for that pay check… coming soon.:: predictable #Emmerdale”.
Another speculated: “Rose is probably going to be a suitable match for anything ………………..possibly for a price #Emmerdale” and yet another fan suggested: “#Emmerdale what’s the betting that when Rose can save Evan she’ll want a s***load of cash to do it.”
