Amanda Holden’s not about to tone it down, even after her ‘unsuitable’ BGT outfits sparked Ofcom complaints mayhem.
The glam judge is back on the panel tonight with Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli for another round of Britain’s Got Talent. The telly and radio star is famed for her daring fashion picks, but one particular number had viewers clutching their pearls, slamming it as “unsuitable” for the family show on ITV.
At 53, Amanda’s sticking to her guns with her sizzling looks, although she’s spilled the beans that there’s a whole squad that gives her ensembles the once-over before she struts out on stage.

“There’s now a whole body of people that knock on my door and come and stare at my chest before we go on air,” she dished to The Sun last year. “There’s a t*t committee. There are so many brilliant people, they come down, knock on the door and there’s the lady who’s the producer who said, ‘Mandy, it looks great’.”
Amanda received 235 Ofcom complaints for her plunging navy gown back in 2020, which viewers slammed as being “too revealing” for a family programme. In 2017, a Julien MacDonald dress – costing a whopping £11,250 – sparked fury with its low neckline, attracting 663 Ofcom complaints – the most complained about TV moment that year.
Explaining more about that eye-popping gown, Amanda said: “I had bits of fish wire underneath my breasts trying to hold that together. But, look, I’m from a small-chest family, plus you know I’m 48 years old. It’s all quite laughable, but all everyone seems to talk about.”
She’s even joked she needs an agent for her boobs, joking: “I am seriously thinking my girls need separate representation to me, because they are known on their own. They don’t need me, they’re going to go off and do Piers Morgan’s Life Stories on their own next year!”

But she begged in 2023: “This is the problem, everyone talks about my t**s and his are out all the time. No Ofcom complaints about me this year please!” Her co-star Bruno added: “If you’ve got it, flaunt it! I don’t understand this complaining. She’s a beautiful woman.”
