Jeremy Clarkson has confessed the latest series of Clarkson’s Farm is “tough to watch in places” after his third series dropped on Friday (May 3).

The ex-Top Gear host, who swapped cars for crops, faced the harsh realities of farming life in the third instalment of his hit Amazon Prime series. Fans will see the broadcaster embark on a new journey into the world of pig farming.

Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – the 64-year-old to address the “brutal” scenes after his new series premiered over the weekend. Speaking to his 7.9million followers, he wrote: “Thank you all for sending such kind words about Clarkson’s Farm 3.

“I know it’s tough to watch in places but that’s farming sometimes: brutal,” he continued. Clarkson’s Farm 3 delves into the gritty details of pig farming, showcasing the ups and downs Jeremy faces while managing Diddly Squat, a sprawling 1,000-acre farm in the Cotswolds.

The show’s third season dropped in two parts, with the second half, featuring episodes five through eight, set to land on screens on Friday, May 10. Jeremy has been candid about the hurdles of pig farming, calling it one of his most formidable challenges to date.

Fans flocked to the comments section, eager for updates from Diddly Squat and curious about the future of the series. Amidst the anticipation, there was some bewilderment regarding the number of seasons planned, reports the Express.

One fan pleaded: “I hope there’s more than four episodes,” after binge-watching the available ones. “I watched them all last night. I need to see how groovy armarni gets on with his peas n beans experiment too.”

Jeremy reassured fans there is more to come, as he replied: “4 more next week.” Another fan tweeted in despair: “Criminal that it’s the final series. Best show on any platform!”.

But Jeremy hit back with a tweet of his own, saying: “It’s not. We are filming season 4 right now.” He then dropped another bombshell for his followers.

He wrote: “It’s probably a good idea to say that four more episodes of Clarkson’s Farm 3 are out next week. And I promise they’re less harrowing.”

This series has been an emotional rollercoaster for Jeremy and his partner Lisa Hogan, as they’ve dealt with everything from failed crops to the heartbreak of losing newborn piglets. In one of the most gut-wrenching moments of the show, the Who Wants to be a Millionaire host had to make the tough call to euthanise his pig Baroness.
