Kate Garraway was not too impressed by her Good Morning Britain co-star’s on-air confession.
The ITV show was back for another episode on Monday (May 6). And with Kate and Ed Balls back at the helm, the pair were on hand to deliver the latest news and headlines.
But just minutes in and the show took an awkward turn when Kate was called out for “exposing” a “private conversation” between Kate and GMB co-star Ranvir Singh.

Giving fans a rundown of what’s coming on the show, Kate said: “Mike Nolan has announced he’s leaving Bucks Fizz after 43 years.”
Kate then brought up a “private” conversation she had with her co-star about Bucks Fizz – and it appears it left Kate stunned. She explained to viewers: “Ranvir has just shocked me.
“She said she didn’t know Fizz were still together.” Kate then quipped: “Ranvir wash your mouth out!” Forced to apologise, Ranvir quickly replied: “I’m so sorry. I said that in private Kate, now you’ve exposed my lack of pop knowledge!”
It was confirmed at the weekend that Bucks Fizz original member Mike Nolan had called it quits from the band. The Eurovision champs stormed to the charts with their hit Making Your Mind Up and wowed audiences with their unforgettable skirt-ripping antics back in the eighties.
The band comprised of Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan, and Jay Aston. But now Mike is bowing out for “personal reasons” – leaving fans gutted.
Over on X, which we all used to know as Twitter, The Fizz shared an ‘important notice.’ The statement confirmed: “We can confirm, following the Michael Ball show, that Mike will be leaving the group at the end of the year. Cheryl and Jay will be continuing as The Fizz and a statement from Mike, will follow in the coming days. Thank you for your understanding.”
Devastated followers poured out their hearts online. One wrote: “Sad times but thank you for 43 years of music and memories.” Another chimed in: “Wishing @mikenolanfizz all the best! You are a living legend. @JayAstonC and @Cherylbaker will have to rip off their own skirts in future.”
