Coronation Street’s Nathan Curtis could be related to missing Lauren Bolton – in a huge DNA twist.
The soap villain (Christopher Harper) makes his return this week after seven years. Fans will recall the paedo abused Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) – and was sent to prison for his crimes.
However, he has been released, and this week Bethany comes across her abuser working at a builder’s yard – and instantly becomes a suspect in the missing Lauren Bolton case.

Fans will recall the troubled youngster, played by Cait Fitton, went missing from Weatherfield earlier this year. Knowing his history, and his appetite for young girls, Bethany soon hits on the idea that Nathan could be behind Lauren’s suspected murder.
Fans will recall that troubled youngster Lauren (Cait Fitton) went missing last month – with Roy Cropper being the last known person to see her alive. The search for Lauren then became a murder inquiry.
And a slew of residents have left fans suspicious, including Joel Deering and Roy – who has since been arrested. However, some fans reckon Nathan hasn’t actually murdered her, and is merely a red herring and the killer is actually Joel.
One person said: “Red herring. Still convinced it’s Joel.” As another fan said: “It’s not Nathan that took Lauren, it’s his brother and the man who got him released knowing that people (mainly Bethany, Sarah, Daniel, Shona etc.) would start suspecting him… Joel.”
But what would be a huge twist, it’s been claimed that Nathan could actually be related to Lauren. Daily Star has quizzed one of the world’s most popular artificially intelligent “creative” tools Gemini, to see if Nathan and Lauren could be related.

The program responded that it could be “likely” that Nathan is related to Lauren on the soap. It explained: “It would be a major and unexpected twist in the Lauren Bolton storyline. This would keep viewers guessing and engaged.”
Gemini added: “If there is a DNA link between Nathan and Lauren, suggesting they’re related, it could potentially explain why he wouldn’t harm her.” The system also explained: “It could lead to interesting character development for Nathan. Nathan, a proven villain, could be revealed to have a hidden family connection, adding complexity to his character.”
